In Sweden we have "All Saints Day" (Alla Helgons Dag) and it's not about candy or costumes. I dislike "Halloween".

Is that not the 1st of November? Halloween is the 31st of October so if I'm correct they're 2 different days (you don't see people complaining about Halloween being the day before the day of the dead in the parts of the world that celebrate it)

It depends, All Saints falls on the first Saturday between 31 October and 6th November in Sweden. The set date "1st of November" was abolished in 1776 because the King (Gustav III) wanted the people to work more (don't know why they didn't change it after they shot him).

Yes it is two different days but this year it fell on the same day thus it annoyed me more then ever (I was already annoyed by the holiday because it's a direct import holiday by commercial interests without any historical relevance to Sweden).

Yes I know I sound like a boring person.
