Isn't Attack on Titan supposed to continue in the spring?

I haven't seen any news for AoT season 2 yet. No PVs, no OP/ED music announcements, no new characters/VAs, none of the kinds of information that would remotely suggest a spring premiere. I can't imagine missing anything, either, since this isn't exactly the kind of series that flies under the radar.

No such announcement has been made. It is supposed be 2016 (although as with any series, it could be delayed, especially until a season is announced), but that was as specific as it got. As I recall, even that announcement had a certain vagueness to it (more like, "That's what we're shooting for" rather than "That's when it is scheduled for").

I don't really expect it until autumn at the earliest.

And for an anime that was as big a deal as AoT, Autumn would make the most sense. Spring would be more like they missed their target but not by so long that they wanted to wait a full year until the cash flow started up.

According to Chris Beveridge at Fandompost.com, in addition to Crunchyroll having Kiznaiver, Amazon has Kotetsujo no Kabaneri, and Daisuki has Concrete Revolutio Cour 2.

Also, Viz Media has just announced Terra Formars and JoJo's Adventure 4 for simulcast at C2e2, along with previous seasons of both.

No details of the JoJo's catalog were discussed, which Chris speculates is likely due to the previous material being released for home video by Warner Home Video.

Hmm, strange season.
Besides Ushio &Tora (still don't know why I like it), Sailor Moon Crystal and Kagewani there's nothing I'm really sure about. Well, actually I'm already disappointed because they promised us more better love making for spring, but no, they let us wait for it for at least 3 additional months .

But anyway, there are some new animes that I could like

-Mayoiga
Sounds really interesting. Many characters, unusual setting, interesting plot. But that's also the problem. The writing has to be really good to make it work. We'll see what they can make out of it.

-Joker Game
I guess I'll like this one. I usually enjoy these kind of storys.

-Bungou Stray Dogs
That's the one with the biggest questionmark. I will either hate it or love it and I'm pretty sure I will figure it out after the first episode.

-Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
Zombies and the artwork looks nice

-Kiznaiver
It's Sci-Fi

(Harmony, but I won't buy the DVD so I'll wait until I can stream it somewhere)

There are some other animes that I might watch for at least 10 minutes but I'm pretty sure I won't like them.

With all the fragmentation of rights in recent seasons, I suspect CR may have passed "peak simulcast" (barring an significant increase in the number of anime broadcast in Japan each season). This season should be a good test of that, as I count 57 titles. (I don't know the record, but I seem to recall one season having over 60 titles).

I'm curious if multiple Sentai titles will go to The Anime Network again this season, or they'll be satisfied with just the one Hulu exclusive of the past couple of seasons.

The new factors are the noitaminA grab by Amazon, and the uncertainty at this point over whether CR will have shared simulcasts of the titles Viz has announced.

I wonder how many long-running (2 or more cours) series CR will be picking up this season since almost all of them on the current lineup will be ending in the next few weeks. From 24 long-running series, CR will be down to only about 6 series.

Unless more info becomes known soon, that may be a mystery even to CR. Of all the series I see on the list at the usual source, only 13 have an indication of the number of episodes. Of those, only 4 are 2 cour. (One is actually 3 cour, but it is a short form anime).

I guess its that time of the year again. My top 5 anime hyped are:

The hype trains, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Boku no Hero Academia.

The more interesting looking Attack on Titan show, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri.

Kagewani Season 2

And the AOTS, Kuma Miko.

Indeed. Curious as to what caused this. But not complaining.
