I'm huge on PC gaming of all kinds. I used to play a lot of Counter-Strike (used to play with a childhood friend when it was a mod for Half-Life). Maybe it's just me, but as I got older, either I got a lot worse at it, or the kids that play these days are just way better than me. I used to wield an AWP like it was an extension of myself. Now I'm lucky to score a headshot with a Deagle.

I'm big on the classics too. I've got lots of old games, consoles, and old PCs (Atari 800XL, Commodore 64, etc.) that I've hoarded over the years.

I'm not sure if my parents ever regretted giving me a Nintendo 64 for my birthday when I was young, but I'm sure glad they did.

Ye, but I'm a consul casul. I used to play a lot of shooters but they became WAYYYYYYYYYYY too easy. Then I got back into fighters but since I'm on PS4 more than my 360 there's not many fighting games to play, so I'm stuck playing Destiny and MKX atm, probably gonna play FF14 though. So really, I like (J)RPG, shooters, and fighting games.

My room is kinda like OP's pic but with less figures and more games.

Went through a PS1, PS2, sold my 360 a while back when I no longer had the time to play. Now I just prat about on the PS Vita when I'm travelling or working away. It has a strange ability to make people lean over your shoulder to watch what is going on, like moths to a light.

Occasionally keep looking at a PS4 but end up talking myself out of it each time.

Casual gamer. I fiddle about on Steam every other night playing select titles (Darkest Dungeon got me hooked), but I don't go out of my way to play console games anymore, just because I can't afford to keep up with new systems or buy hard copies.

Grew up playing Genesis > Super Nintendo > Playstation 1 > Gameboy Color > Playstation 2 > GameCube > Xbox > PC

I can't keep up with the new consoles anymore. I just stick to playing games on Steam now.

I've been gaming since i was 6 on the Commandore 64(had more then 100 games home) then i moved to NES> PC>PS1 > PS2 > WII >PS3.

In all that time i have still been playing on my PC since Console was fun for fighting games but for RTS and A-RPG's that i love PC is best and am still going strong on it, both on Steam and Battle.net.

I started gaming on PC when I was 4 y.o. - Wolfenstien 3D was the first thing i've played. I also used to play on the Sega Mega Drive (I believe it's called the Genesis in some places?).

I'm mainly a PC gamer, although i've dabbled with consoles and mobile games. Used to be a very keen player. I loved the challenge and improving my skills.

But later on - life happened. I had to both study and work during university, at one point I had to juggle that and 2 jobs. So i've pretty much started playing when and if I have the time.

My favorite genre has to be RPGs. The western, open-world RPG (Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, etc.) is my favorite kind, but I also adore a good JRPG such as Persona 3 or 4. Regardless, I enjoy nearly all kinds of games. MMORPGs, first-person shooters, third-person shooters, rogue lites, text-based games, visual novels, platformers, beat-um-ups, [or] turn-based strategy -- if it's a good game, more often than not I'll enjoy it.

I do have contempt for the joke-simulator genre though. It's mostly composed of YouTuber bait, unfunny punchlines that are killed before you even start up the game, and attempts at cloning the success of Goat Simulator. Nevertheless, I'm not opposed to the genre entirely. It's just that rarely is it done right and as anything more than an attempt to milk the cash of the consumer.

I was a console gamer, but I've been so incredibly disappointed with the PS4 and X1, I went to pc gaming. I'm not sure I'll ever go back to console gaming. The variety in pc gaming is just to appealing.

Let's see. I started with SNES and Sega Genesis, then PS1, GBC, PS2, GBA, PS3, PS4. Only consoles I have left are Sega Genesis and PS4. Though I've been eyeing PS Vita since it came out years ago but just didn't want to being gaming all the time or else I'd have no life outside of gaming.

Edit: I do play PC games.
