Rated at # 15 on VNDB G-Senjou no Maou just saw its official US release today on steam.

Per usual this title didn't get too much press time so it just sort of slipped into this release window.
2 versions are available via steam from project sekai ( voiceless and voiced with quite a price difference in them ) both of them an edited all ages version.

Starting up a play though of it now on twitch @ www.twitch.tv/finalsights as it looks to be anywhere from a 10-30 hour read I won't be finishing tonight but I will be reporting back for its review as I chew through.

Thoughts on this VN and have you heard of it before this?

Fantastic VN, definitely one of the best I've ever read. However, I'm curious of what Kanon's route is like in the all-ages version (the H-scenes in her route were kind of important to the plot, in a way). I found the VN very interesting and Eiichi is absolute comedy gold.

Highly recommended to me by several people, so I bought it at release. Got the voiceless edition, since the price was too good to pass up (IMO). Might add the voice DLC later. ... This is a strange practice, though.

Yea its a tad off but the main reason is that voice acting costs money even after everything is done if you sell a copy of the game the VAs still get compensation for it so thus that gets tacked on - not everyone would want to shell out that price and a lot of people who just speed read VNs just skip the voices so having 2 different tiers allows the product to serve a broader audience.
So that price gap there isn't just because they're locking out features its more like do you feel like paying the VAs for their work.

Having bought the voiced version I can certainly say that the voice work is top notch.
