This is a question i asked myself after reading the comments on this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqQf4Sg1g9w

I don't get it i mean the human race is vast and with neurodiversity and so many variables it just seems foolish to claim that we are only polygamous or monogamous.

Personally i could only do monogamy and couldn't do polygamy and lately i have noticed people are acting like that's unhealthy or wrong.

I don't get it and what's going on ..is it a justification people are just using so they can cheat or are people trying to get rid of monogamy

Humans are naturally lustful. It is what it is. I mean you are not only attracted to one person. The only thing stopping us from plowing everything that moves is laws and morality, which isn't a bad thing, but it's important to understands what drives us as a species.

OH and i agree but...some people want to argue we should act on that lust and not have laws and morality and i can't get that it makes no sense to me.

It feels as if those people are trying to destroy monogamy from how they word things.

Oh well, fuck it, don't stress it and do you. Also some people would rather have the sex without the feelings because they were hurt deeply by a relationship. Everyone has their reasons.

Revolutionize sex and this is what goes on; we end up normalizing corruption. A culture where getting laid often comes before having your life in order. You can keep that mess.

If I could sign a legal document keeping me out of an insane world of bad relationships, I'd be asking where the goddamn line is. Fire off my middle finger to the world and become a veritable ghost. Your love is tainted as is your conscience. Do not taint me any deeper than I've become through exposure to a dying world. [/drama]

Don't see why anyone would be against it. o.0 I personally think monogamy looks really good when it's used for book cases and stuff.

I think you have it backwards. Most people are pro monogamy and against polygamy. In fact, polygamy in marriage is against the law in many places; and cheating is grounds for divorce.

Why do you get the impression monogamy is looked down on?

I think it just depends whether you find someone worth committing to or not.

Sadly, people just get over one another. What can you do, you know. Just gotta let them be free.
EDIT: I think people just find it hard to leave someone however still want to be fulfilled sexually or romantically, by someone else. Or they are just to afraid to express their true feelings and etc, without being punished, hurt or more.

Got all sad... Sorry about that. Haha. Trust me it isn`t a reflection of myself.

Some individual on some time period decided to condone polygamy and it has been culturally conditioned through each passing generation until the newer generations came to see it as something that is looked down upon. It kind of goes against our nature - we're sexual beings, after all.

True, not everyone can do polygamous relationships. The thought of sharing your partner with someone else may not be a pretty thought to some. But some make it work. The keyword is trust.

I don't know much about polygamous relationships. Does everyone in that relationship love each other or is it just one person picking all the partners they want to be with?

I don't know for sure. They just seem to want to feel "special" or "superior" for not being into monogamy. Honestly, I find them as insufferable and hypocritical as folks who don't sthup up if you're not as "open-minded" about sexuality as they are.

Hmmmm.

So what, we aren't naturally monogamous? We also are not naturally clothed, but that worked out pretty well for us. Sure, there are a few nudists running around (and good for them!), but they aren't hurting anyone.

What does it matter if we are not naturally a certain way? Personally, I think that the pride of humanity is that we strive to overcome our natures. I think someone that casts aside the fundamental fact that mankind has made its mark by rising above the instinctual has essentially cast aside humanity.

But.... hey, what do I know?

Clothing complements our nature though.

Took the words right out of my mouth right here. o.O I'm not going to judge anyone for being polygamous, but I'm against it myself.

And that's pretty funny. xD
