I've watched a lot of different anime and some of them are simply fantastic, No Game No Life and Baka and Test to name a few. Now what never struck me was how these never got a second or third seasons when there was still plenty of story to go and material to work with.

I found out after a few boxes of tissues that certain Anime struggle to get enough revenue to fund another season so I thought to myself what are the ways they could gather the funds to make the new season.

I came up with the use of the KickStarter Programme to collect donations from avid fans of the anime throughout the world to fund the new seasons. I reckon it would be a fair idea however it does have its drawbacks such as certain studios using it despite having money to fund new seasons anyway or general greediness in general.

So, what do you think?

No Game No Life Is Terrible. Back on topic, I'd suppose it's possible.

I honestly think it is a great idea. Especially for the series that didn`t see enough financial support for another sequence.

However, some actually did fine or great. The team backing it up just didn`t want to do another one. "Denpa Onna", correct me if I'm wrong. The head writer actually approached the production committee for another part. Although the sales were very high and merchandise did well. They did not want to move ahead. Also in "School Rumble 3" there was promotional footage and everything. The team just didn`t want to proceed with it. People just get tired of things, want to do other creative works and get caught in schedules + etc.

Posing enough money & resources. May get them to get things going. However in the end it`s all up to the lead members in the Production Committee to allow it to go. Though I think people are quite ambitious about sequencing the series that failed financially.

A Great idea *applause* Jorvac. Some series would be more than happy to go again.

I can see it happen although each KS would be at least $1.5 million per 13 episode season. Doubt most would get funded.

Makes sense to me, especially considering that I already contribute to some projects via crowdfunding sites. . .

This already exists. It's called buying the merchandise and clamoring for more.

Of course. Many anime movies have been dubbed from fan fundraising, even movies

I would LOVE to see this happen
