Have you experienced this issue since? Do you also receive this error if you try watching without wifi just using your data?

I have exactly the same problem for more than a week now, restarting didn't help. I thought I needed to upgrade my OS but that also didn't fix it. I checked for an app update but there wasn't one. The problem only appears when I am using my 4G data but seems fine on wifi.

Same issue for me since Monday morning.
Doesn't work at all on 3G or 4G but works on WiFi.
I am on EE.

Any known fix?

I tested other streaming apps like BBC iplayer and All4 and ITV hub and they all stream fine over 3/4G. Sounds improbable that there is a problem with EE and the crunchyroll app only, but then again a few of us have the same problem

Well the good news is that the crunchyroll team are working on a fix so fingers crossed its not going to take too long cause I am way behind in the winter season simulcasts!

I reported the problem to the crunchyroll team and they have been great at getting back to me and trying to get to the bottom of it. I had an update from them yesterday: "we do apologize for the inconvenience. This is a known issue that's actually affecting a number of users, and our team is hard at work putting together a fix". So at least we know the guys are trying hard to solve the problem.

Just letting you guys know that a vpn on your devices will solve the problem so it's deffo an EE problem.

You should also note that the use of a VPN, especially if it places you in a different geographical location, is a violation of the /ToS, and could result in your account being banned.
