Oh please. Marijuana is far less dangerous than tobacco and alcohol, yet few people seem to have any qualms with those being sold. If rational, thinking adults want to use the substance legally then let them. There's no need for the government to micromanage the lives of every single citizen within the country over something so trivial.

As for its legality, it depends on the state you live in. Marijuana hasn't been federally legalized or banned, so it's up to your local government as to whether or not marijuana is available legally for recreational and/or medicinal use.

EDIT: I was wrong about the legality. It's federally illegal, but there are states that allow it to be used despite this.

Marijuana actually is illegal in the U.S., at least at the federal level. Makes for a weird states vs. federal government situation that will probably culminate in a Supreme Court case eventually. Even if it doesn't, support for legalizing pot has been increasing over the last decade or so.

Thank you USA. Your ridiculous policies make me so very very grateful to live over here. Every time I get a bit depressed I think "it could be worse. I could be in America"

Marijuana is incredibly dangerous. The problem is it probably has less effects on your health than tobacco and alcohol, which is why the US has become so laid back with regards to it. But it's incredibly dangerous because of it's side effects. It makes people act completely irrationally. I'm fine with people drinking themselves to death and smoking themselves towards lung cancer because that's their problem. But I am NOT fine with people smoking marijuana, then losing their minds while high and attacking innocent law abiding citizens like me!

Why should I and other innocent people suffer because of some ignorant people who want to smoke it?! That's my issue with it!

I agree, that it's good you are over there instead of here. The pure comedy coming out of the UK lately is great.

The law system in the US sounds incredibly complicated. Something should be either illegal or not. And I am aware that legalising it is getting support over there. I don't know whether that is due to people being misinformed or whether americans just don't give a shit about hurting others. Considering the laid back way the country handles gun, it's probably because they just don't care.

I agree that the comedy in the UK is brilliant. Not sure what a picture of steak has to do with it though.

I try not to cut my steaks with spoons, but alas! That's too much to ask.
