Hi guys :)

So, I just got these bad boys

I need some help:

1- How often do you read the manga, and how often do you recommend it

to some one who watches the anime series is just stated with 700 episodes ?

2- If I want to re-watch the anime series and read the manga, how would you organize

between the two.

3- How many volumes do you recommend reading per week ?

It's hard to really say but I can tell you how I usually go about doing it. If I don't feel like watching a 20 minute anime then I will read manga. It really depends how I am feeling. Sometimes if I am tired and I just wanna unwind and sleep I can read a few chapters. If you try to organize it then I can't see it being as fun or enjoyable. I use the app and I have started a collection which I have been keeping at work for now. I sometimes read manga on my lunch break. It's overwhelming when I see how many episodes of One Piece there is. Just watch it within the time you have to relax. Very nice way to start by getting box sets, I have just been buying two books per month. I have been leaning more towards manga in my free time. Just do what your heart feels haha.

Read the manga first then watch the anime. For longer running anime like one piece and conan, It’s better to read the manga.

As for collecting manga, I recommend sticking with 2 or 3 series or else your wallet will cry.

OP was the first long running shonen manga that I read and it took me about 6 weeks to catch up back in 2012. This was with me spending on average 2-3 hours a day during the week reading it. No one realized that there wasn't enough to do for my internship at the time, so I practical got paid to read manga.

I never could get into the anime. Why bother sifting through the filler if you already know whats happening.

Do it as you feel like it. I'd recommend starting from the start though.

In general, I always go for the manga first and then the anime later (if I'm still interested). Sometimes I don't bother with the anime after I read the manga.

With One Piece though, I've kinda gone back and forth. I started out with the manga but as I caught up to what I could afford (and library didn't have the volumes I needed) I went to the anime. I still go back and forth between the two. I still prefer reading it, but sometimes I like to put the anime on to chill with, or while I'm drawing since it is pretty fun to watch I just read and watch whenever I feel like it.

If you got the manga then read that first, the anime is a monster and will take up much more time than reading manga. IF you really liked the manga then maybe just watch your favorite arcs in anime form instead of tackling the whole thing?

I know I'm a bit backwards, but I often end up watching the anime first as it's a bit shorter and deviates from the original plot. Then, when I'm pining for more, I read the manga, which is usually much more complete and runs for volumes after the anime series end. Of course there are exceptions when talking about hugely popular shounen series like OP and Naruto, that last for hundreds of episodes. Sometimes I read a manga before an anime adaption is even made. It really depends.

You've said "rewatch" so I'm assuming you are up to date with One Piece. Are you just looking to compare differences? They're both ongoing, but there are 721 episodes to 79 manga. If you want to keep an even ratio to keep up, it's roughly 9 episodes per manga volume, up until the point that you catch up. Then you can just keep up with the new releases as they come out. However, each episode is going to be thirty minutes, and it usually takes me thirty minutes - one hour to read a manga depending on the length and complexity. It will be a much easier task to read than to watch, by that logic.

Be selective in wich manga u really want to collect at home that u also might read online(unless u have moral issues against it) since it will be a long and costly process and it takes up ALOT of room.

As for watching the anime if u also have the manga, its something that always comes with risks since the story is almost always told differently and it could give u spoilers if u are't far into the manga or follow a new storyline altogether.

As for watching anime of one of the big 3, i suggest u either choose manga or anime and stick to that, since its madness to collect both since they are both so long!!

As for daily reading habits, go with your gut, if u are in to mood for manga, go read manga, and vice versa, never force yourself unless u really want to watch a complete new serie and want to get into the mood for it.

Hope this helps!
