It just means I have to put up with people being even more fake than usual. Also the annoying music that gets played more than a #1 hit on the radio.

Yes yes, but you know it's true though.

I really stopped feeling the Christmas spirit when I was... maybe about 5 or 6? I just didn't find the idea of a fat man driving elves to their bones interesting (that is what I said as a kid.. my parents were amazed).

I do enjoy my Winter Break as I get to say hi to my direct family. This break my parents want me to make Beef Bourguignon, Glühwein and some French Onion Soup as an appetizer. We will probably get together, drink and play the greatest family breaking game of all time... Monopoly. Then we will probably play Balderdash and Uno.

We also binge watch every James Bond... one a day.. until we finish the set of movies.

My family does celebrate "Christmas." My mother is the only one who is religious though. We generally just view it as a time to give gifts and have fun. Usually at this point we are tired of commercialization of everything in the USA... so we usually make a gift. When I am out in the field I find some gems (garnet, opal, nice quartz, etc.) so I make them into jewelry as gifts. For my dad we just made a pact no gifts. We are not a big fan of them. For my sister I actually have to buy stuff. Usually alcohol, then my sister, her boyfriend and I get smashed together and do stupid shit.

I guess I am just a Grinch! Ba-humbug!

As a kid, I loved it.

As an adult, I hate it.

It's all about spending money and I'm no rich to be doing that.

Meh, Christmas is just there to make you spend money. I don't want to spend money nor do I want gifts from people.
Just leave me alone...

I mean I like to give people stuff and see them happy so Christmas is ok, I could do with out all the blowhards though.

The Christmas Spirit hasn't hit me in quite some time,
but that doesn't stop me from hitting the Christmas Spirits!

There's just no getting away from any of it now, so we may as well just go with the flow and enjoy all the hype and build-up as ever and always from this time of the year onwards

Straight after Halloween, how do you keep the enthusiasm up for 2 months!? Mind you Christmas things are beginning to filter though already, I'm all for it, just not until December at least!
