You're lucky. I can't even visualize when I read a book but that doesn't stop me from trying to read. My imagination is only vivid when it comes to writing a story instead of reading it.

It can sometimes lead to hilarious and bizarre results. For example, I sometimes imagine the totalitarian overlord of the technologically advanced society in Brave New World as looking like King Yemma (Dragon Ball Z).

Oh, wow, cool.

I watch anime on my Samsung Tab 3 while I'm on the train, to and from work. I missed my stop twice (once on the way to work, and once on the way home), and a couple of times almost didn't get of the train on time. Sadly, while at work on my breaks, I seem to always get back from my breaks late...

I have routinely been losing myself in books ever since I learned to read. I think that if you've never done this, you probably are not picking up the right books for you. My mother was an English teacher so we had a lot of different books around the house. She also took me to the library once a week and let me pick out my own books. When I was in second grade, they had to issue me a seventh grade reading book because I read so much that my vocabulary and reading skills were way ahead of my classmates. There was a guy in the class who had been the best reader the year before who punched me in the stomach every day because he was mad that I got ahead of him.

Thanks for the sympathy. The use as a punching bag ended when my cousin transferred into my class and saw the guy do it once. After my cousin wiped the floor with him the punching stopped.

I tend to get easily distracted no matter what I am doing. Then I wake up the next day, pop open the microwave and find yesterday's dinner.

The last time I've ever finished a novel was in elementary school, sadly.

One time when I was in high school I was so engrossed in reading I didn't notice we were chaning seats. I just remember looking up from my book and everyone was already standing with their backpacks and books and everything looking at me. My teacher just gave me this sympathetic 'I feel bad for the awkward girl in class' look.

It wasn't as embarrassing as it sounds, I actually thought it was kind of funny when it happened.

Not gonna lie - achieving that level of immersion is my nirvana. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does... oh man, I love it.
