It's time for Anime Throwbacks, what was your favorite or popular anime for you growing up or ones that you still love til this day even as an adult or teen or whatever?

Mine would have to be Dragon Ball Z and Case Closed

Slayers, mainly because I first saw this on cable with it being sub along with Dragon Ball. It was one of the best anime I had ever watch. Another for me had to be Outlaw Star. I always image myself to be Gene Starwind. My favorite was ep 23 not because of fanservice it was a pretty funny ep. Now it took me about a little bit over ten years to watch that ep because cartoon network did not show it. This ep answer so many question I had at that time.

Gotta give a shout out to my boy Tenchi and Hamtaro. DBZ was what I really wanted to watch though

A recent conversation had me going back through all my old AnimEigo Urusei Yatsura disks that were the center of our American proto-anime fan existence, back in the early, early 90's.
They're still funny.

Technically it's produced by Ranking / Bass... but it was animated in Japan.

And the first actual anime I saw was either Sailor Moon or Dragon Ball Z. I think it was the proto-Toonami block on Cartoon Network.

As a child, the only anime I saw was BubbleGum Crisis and Studio Ghibli (Kiki, Tottoro, and Laputa being favorites).
