I can understand that well. One thing that really PISSES ME OFF is when someone says "Oh, I am so OCD/ADHD/ADD." ARGH. Seriously... it changes your entire fucking life. Don't say it to sound hip =/

I agree it's like no you fucking don't have OCD :/

I should just ROFLstomp the next person who says that X) Give them something to say to others legitly! Kidding ofc.

I was told I was autistic in high school by my guidance counselor. Now I am attempting to get into an intermediate algebra(MAT-114) completed world literature lv 2(ENG-200/B+) and have two A's in intro to PHI(105) and PHI-ethics(105) all done in College. All without ever visiting a tutor.

Sometimes I think people get told they have disabilities simple because people like me would refuse to do anything in school.

So I agree, it's not a good excuse for not trying.

Actually, (high functioning) autistic students generally do well in school. I was a 4.3 (out of 4.0, I had 22 hours of College credit when I graduated). While my grades droped in Writing, my obsession with reading and science led to near perfect scores in everything other than the cursed English language. I HATE THIS DAMN LANGUAGE.

Now, I can say University is kicking my ass due to never having to had study a day in my life. I am still doing fine, but nowhere near where I could be performing.

The difference between high and low functioning is someone like my cousin and I. My cousin will never be able to talk, hold a job, get a wife or kids. He is fucked for life. I on the other hand am just the weird kid that has weird tendencies. Something my aunt said (she specializes in Autism thanks to her son) is that "When people see my son, they will know that he is ill. They will treat him with respect. It is worse for your son. He will be seen as weird, but not ill. This will make him a social outcast and leading to a lot of pain." I can say I am an outcast, but I do well in school. Fuck people when I can have my own apartment with a badass sound system, a Stingray, god tier gaming equipment and a mini-bar with a barista (kidding about this one).

Yeah I wish I had that kind of gpa lol. My first semester I got a whopping 1.6. Never did anything. Then up till now I bumped it to a 2.4 and am hoping to graduate with a 2.6 at least(crappy I know). The computer science program I want to xfer into at a suny school only requires a 2.0 surprisingly. However, with as bad as my gpa is, I sometimes wonder if it's worth it at all to bother applying. Can't say I blame the college if they don't accept me, who'd want someone with a low gpa?

I'm not talking like, "Oh I want you to do this for me because I have broken legs and can't do it myself" crutch. I'm talking these disabled people who use their predicament as an excuse to be a bitch and what not and tell you you can't hit them or do anything else because of the "Things I'm going through."

I personally dislike anyone who tries to play those type of cards.

have you ever had a disability? if not then you need to stfu

A learning disability, ADHD, but of course that pales in comparison to other disabilities. Why can't you learn to not be a crybaby bitch on the internet? Silly you.

Well, I can see the discrimination here, wow. Let me just say I have a learning disability in advanced math, but I still did it.
