I don't mean staying up at night on Crunchyroll or just sleeping at 2:00 am.

I mean genuine night life, as in you're out on the town, watching movies, shopping, hanging with friends, doing activities, etc.

I've been wanting to hear from other people how their city's night life was.

Now, I understand most of our cities are mostly dead at night with only the occasional strip joint and passing car you might think is a stalker guy following you.

Few people have ever tried living out in the night the same as the day, but there are few cities you can do this is, I'm in Texas, so the only two cities for night life consistently are Austin and Houston. My ex boyfriend took me to Austin a couple times when his parents were there.

We normally slept through the day because the drive over there was long, on the city at night seemed a bit more surreal and I was more aware of my surroundings, I guess because I wasn't used to it? Either way, I urge everyone to take a stroll to their closest "party" city and experience it's night life. You'll see stores open that aren't in the day time! Even places that run completely differently at night!

I'm not in Austin much, but I know about it and been there enough to know the differences between night and day!

Right now it's 1:00 AM here in Texas, I have to get up at like 4:50 AM but whatever, I do this all the time. I just had to make this topic since it was on my mind!

Here's some images to get your mind flowing!

Let me ask you a few questions! Ever ate ice cream outside the parlor?

You: "Yes."

Right! But have you ever done it at night?!

You: "..."

Exactly! Ever went to a terrace with a friend and people watched while having a nice conversation?

You: "Yes."

Right! But ever done it at night?! x3

You: "..."

Precisely! You must try these things! They're great fun and it's a nice change of pace, your thoughts will be different than usual! I promise!

Well, if you have experienced or have interest in it, talk about it here, which things would you like to try? What cities would you like to try it in? etc.

I'm probably about to pass out soon...

I love the night. Always have, but I was driven more by necessity after discovering my sun allergy. Still, night is also good due to the lower temperatures. I hate sweating and prefer colder times of the day.

I'd much rather prefer walking on empty neighborhood streets and forests at night, not a fan of noise and belligerent drunks. Don't get me wrong I like the night but I like it empty and dark, but I will say the night doesn't like me, as in staying up late like I am now doesn't leave me waking up feeling good and doesn't contribute to my health in anyway and over the long term is sustainable for my constitution.

Nothing good happens between 1am-5am, stay home people... unless you just
like inviting trouble into your life. Plenty to do during the day. I say this as a night
person (work 6pm-6am). Just be safe about what you do(keep a clear mind)

Looks like someone had a little too much sugar before making a thread...

I'd rather stay home and not interact with these creatures who call themselves humans.

Yeah, my friends and I go out at night because we all work during the day. That's why I'm sometimes dicking around on this site at this hour, since it does mess with the sleep schedule. Fortunately, I got used to never sleeping a long time ago.

I'm not a fan of incredibly busy places, much less at night when everybody is drunk. I live in an area between forest and a small town and during the night, there's the crickets and that beautiful addictive smell of night time air.

My college life was A LOT of nightlife since it was in the city. Out partying until 2am. Saw lots of interesting stuff. Then, of course, I had to study my butt off during the day. Glad to have experienced it, and also glad I made it through college just fine.

I'm usually outside until 12:00AM, given most my daytime is spend indoors on the laptop I'm using to type this post.

There isn't much of a night life here. This city is rather dead around 11:00 p.m. The only thing that really happens are college parties. I suppose if I wanted I could drive 40 miles to the next city and hit up a couple strip clubs, dance clubs, bars, etc.

I can tell you that the subways in DC are still full at 2am on a Saturday night.

I've no clue what everyone else is doing out that late. I'll assume they are not all on their way home from playing Pathfinder.

One crazy night I remember spending on the last week of visiting my relatives a while ago. We left at a little after sunset and went to a restaurant, then went bowling, then sightseeing downtown, then karaoke, then a milkshake bar, then billiards. Came back home at around six in the morning absolutely hammered.

But that was a while ago, and since then the nightlife has been quite dull.
