Please don't burst my bubble....

It's a 6-part OVA series with each part being released a month or two apart. This is the first OVA split into 4 episodes. This is all that ANYBODY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, INCLUDING JAPAN is getting for now. And winter 2016 means between January and March, so don't panic.

Ahhh okay. Thanks for the info! So excited

The year starts in the Winter by these standards (since January/February is still Winter)

Said it on Twitter, and I hope I'm not annoying Miles by also posting here, but I'm way too excited for this. I literally screamed when this popped up on my Twitter timeline.

I was honestly kind of scared that Saban would sit on the license for a few months and later dub the series with edits to bring it back down to a kids' show level (when this is being explicitly aimed at the adults who grew up on Digimon, making it Seinen whereas other seasons are Kodomo or Shonen), and while I'm sure they'll license it and dub it in such a way eventually, I'm extremely pleased that we're getting a way to watch it uncut in Japanese before we get the inevitable dubbed version.

Not that I'm hating on the dub, I grew up on it, and still enjoy it from time to time. Hoping Joshua Seth gets brought back as Taichi when Saban DOES dub it, he's made it clear that he'd love to return to the role.

Congratulations Crunchyroll, for the first time in years I've logged into this website. Granted, I'm still having a little difficulty resetting the password on my old account (username: Kintor) but I'm sure customer service will be able to sort out what's going on in a few days or so. Until then I'm here anyway; I'm not about to let a wayward email get in the way of me watching Digimon Adventure Tri.

I've been a fan of Digimon since the beginning, ever since the first generation of Digimon Tamagotchi V-Pets were released internationally. Since then I've watched the Digimon franchise grow to become an all-encompassing mythos, the equal of any other anime. Even so, after the end of Adventure 02 and the start of Tamers I never thought that we'd see further stories in the original anime universe. It's fortunate then that nearly 15 years later Digimon is at last returning to where it all began.

I look forward to seeing Digimon Adventure Tri in just a few hours time alongside everyone else. It's a privilege that we can get the chance to see a subbed version of the show almost simultaneously alongside its premiere in Japan. This is the kind of interconnectedness those of us watching anime in the 90s could only dream about - a fitting testament to the enduring appeal of Digimon as a franchise and the power of digital technology that every Digimon anime always sought to promote.

Thank you again for this opportunity Crunchyroll. I will be waiting for Digimon Adventure Tri to go live, D-3 Digivice in hand!

OK, no. You can't say both of those things in the same sentence.

And I can pretty much guarantee that all British fans will be utilising VPNs or torrents for this one.

OK, I know it's not exactly CR's fault. Toei seems to hate the UK market, especially when it comes to streaming. But, for the love of God, don't celebrate being able to share one of the most awaited shows with "all of you" if your rights are anything other than "Worldwide ex. Japan". That's just insulting.
