Post Reply How do you react to being flirted with?
Posted 11/21/15
I have once been hit on by a 13 year old girl. I was caught off guard. I didn't know how to respond or even how to deal with it. I did my best no to come in contact with her, but she was determine and hell vent on getting my attention. That lasted months. It only end it when I move back to My country. Listing I open minded and all and I may date somebody significantly younger than me. But her personalty was bad and her maturity was even worst. That no just a no, that a hell to the no. I know a lot of people who date somebody who were let say 13 years old or 14 year old with somebody in their late 20. Most of them from what I have seen end up in marriage. Like My female cousin. She was like 15 years old or something, when she date this guy in his late 20 and now they are marry.

Reason it work for some and no for others ? Maturity and personality. Doesn't matter how old or young you are, if any of those is really bad, is no going to work most of the time.

It turns me off faster than anime does on a dating website.

I'm very clueless when it comes to these things so I will probably not notice

I really don't know the difference between being nice and being flirty. When a guy is nice to me and helps me do things or gifts me something, I don't want to think they are flirting with me. I have friends who gave me gifts in my birthday without me asking them and there's nothing between us, they like someone else. I am not good at this.

I'm a rather "shy" person. however this happens to me quite frequently. I've picked up skill on dealing with it rather its in person or over social media. Most common way i deal with it is sense of humor. I joke around with them if they seem like a decent person but it'll go no where. if they dont well then either i'll act like i never saw or heard a thing sometimes just quite rude. but i notice many guys out there actually dont to this with just one person. if theyre flirting with you chances are as soon as you turn your back he's not hitting on someone else! which is why i dont let flirting go no where. friendship does. if a guy wants me he has to make me a friend and prove his worth or just become friends and things may lead of unexpected way. dun matter lifes full of surprises.

I generally smile and laugh. I guess I just try to be polite.

I remember I went to watch my brother play in his basketball game once, and during halftime I went to go to the concession stand to get something to eat. I have no clue how this girl was, I would say around 16, but she just came up behind me and started talking. She introduced herself and what not while I was looking what I wanted to get. We talked for a bit, because I thought it would be kinda rude just to ignore her completely. After a while I told her I was going back in the gym to go start watching the game. She seemed kinda sad about that and asked if I wanted her Facebook or phone number. I told her that wouldn't be a good idea and it was nice talking to her. I could tell that bugged her, but she said she understood.

I'm not sure if I handled that correctly, but I think I did

I also should mention one My sisters was hit on by a dude in his 20, he was a gamestop employee, when she was like 14 years old or something. I ask him how old do you think she is ? When my sister told him her age, he turn mute and extremely embarrass by it. Was even funnier was my dad reaction, when he approach us from behind and was told what had just happened. I die that day from laughter.

If I notice, I kinda just freak out and pretend it didn't happen lol

I enjoy flirting but I do not like being flirted with if someone approaches me first. Or sometimes I'm clueless about being flirted with.

Jailbait is actually part of the most delicious range for men. (studies have it at 15-19)

You wouldn't know she's underage. But even if she was, it's not abnormal for 17 to hit on 22 year olds.

Heh... I know that well. Saved a girl when Lifeguarding. Flirted for like 2 weeks. Then found out she was 15. SHE LOOKED BLOODY 19! ARGH it was horrifying.

I would actually do the same, just smile or laugh it off.
I live in Boracay (A very popular beach in Asia) and it's full of foreigners across the globe and everytime I go out random people (Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese, Americans, Russians ect) just comes up and start a conversation. It's nice you make new friends just the good thing for me is I always tell them I already had a boyfriend so eventually they will just stop flirting and just have a nice conversation.

Happens more than I'd like but depending on my mood I'll either react even more smart-ass/sarcastic than usual or just be brutally honest and make it clear it's not going anywhere.

The struggles of looking younger than my age implies...

People still think my sister is the older sibling (I am 14 months older). There is one reason I don't go clubbing much at my Uni. Jailbait runs rampant and are horny as fuck (no pun intended). An acquaintance irl was telling me how this girl who was "20" he had sex with. When he was handing her purse back to her, her ID fell out. She was 16. On that day he committed statutory rape. This happens all the time too. The clubs don't ID people often here in Texas. It is odd, and dangerous. Too much jailbait will get me a nice little sign outside my home sayin "sex offender".

I'm usually clueless when someone starts flirting with me. I dont even notice till they straight up tell me or my friends say something. I remember last year this boy in my school started flirting with me. I didn't realize it till around the end of the school year when my friend told me about it. When I did find out I was sorta brushing him off and ignoring him.
