I have been having extremely vivid dreams all my life but have never gotten an analysis or anything like that. I looked some things up online and am disappointed to find that no information exists pertaining to my dream last night. Have you ever had an extremely vivid dream? Do you think its worth it to get a dream analysis?

nah, not Really. i have vivid dreams but they're normally Connected to whatever's going on in life rn. dreams are mostly your brain doing Weird Stuff with all the information you have stored over the years

but then again some ppl do have Premonitions and stuff so i guess dream analysis can be okay

Nothing extreme, just frequently having dreams about loosing my teeth. Apparently it's representing anxiety, which I can't really see how fits my life right now.

I have had some. It would help if you keep a dream diary next to your bed so you can write it down when you wake up.

Some dreams are connected to actual events or things you're stressing /have been over thinking on. i.e.: work dreams.

Others come out of left field, or like a shark emerging from the dark. There's no connection or meaning to anything. i.e.: A wooly rhino telling you an ancient enemy has come back, then being attacked by dinosaurs. Or, post apocalyptic zombification.

I had a very vivid dream the other night in which I rescued a cocker spaniel puppy from a talking hawk and the vet told us it belonged to Anthony Bourdain, you know the No Reservations travel channel tv personality, and that because of a snow storm in the region he couldn't come to me, I was vacationing out west, so I would have to take the puppy back to ohio where Anthony Bourdain would pick it up from the house at a later date.

That dream came almost entirely from tv I watched recently. I remember quite a few of my dreams and most of them are odd, but nothing that I can't trace back to something I did or thought about recently... I can't say I believe in things like dream interpretation...sKePTic 4 LiFE

My dreams are always very vivid and full of colour, which can either help or hurt depending on whether the dream is nice or a nightmare. I even experience a rough simulation of sensation (though it's not a 1:1 with reality and absurd "sensations" are possible). As for the question of whether it's worthwhile to conduct a dream analysis...eh...it's not really solid enough to be worth your time in most cases, and what is solid enough to be worth the time is so broad that it's probably not all that helpful.

Dreams are random sensory garbage your brain creates, then you yourself apply a narrative to it. So I do believe that analyzing the narrative of the dream is worthwhile. Obviously actual dream anaysis is a complete waste of time. Seeing teeth fall out means money issues, that cods whallop. Just think about it yourself.

I forget pretty much most of my dreams, but when I do have them they're very vivid.

Yeah I think I'm going to start doing that... maybe it'll help me find a connection to my life that I'm not seeing

Dream journals are awesome if you have interesting ones.
Most of my dreams revolve around anxiety and work, so... :\

Your dreams probably mean you want to have sex with your Dad.

Look into Carl Jung and his dream interpretation since he makes the case that dreams tie in with the unconscious trying to work things out in it's own way, his method is pretty interesting since it deals with archetypal symbolism, and the unconscious. I would like to note that it isn't something you can grasp right away so I don't know if it'll help you.

I get them from time to time but i never start to think about them much until it begins to become nightly and over the same thing. Those are painful in my opinion. At least for me they have been.

yeah i wrote a paper on dreams one time haha i'm all about interpreting them and stuff.

however your best interpreter is yourself. your dreams typically are manifestations of things you're stressed about or have thought about during the day. may even be something you didn't even know you were thinking about, like something in the back of your mind. you can also talk to someone who knows you really well because oftentimes others see things that you don't see about yourself.
