Also, they would make them intentionally, every species would be dead if they didn't have the drive to reproduce.

Also how is very little return? You do know "children" made everything?! Lol, for every woman that says. "Nah brah, kids b gey."

There's a potential amazing person not being born! Just think if your parents felt the way you did! You'd be- nothing!

Mhm, and that is why we have the drive to reproduce at all obviously. That's not what I'm trying to say.
So you're wanting to make a baby as a selfless act for the betterment of the whole of man kind, to replenish our baby-stock/population and for them to potentially change the world.
Big returns in the bigger picture I suppose though, I'll give you that one.
And mum and dad already told me I was a mistake and was never meant to happen so.

If this woman doesn't want to have kids, then leave her alone.
It's her life. I think she should get to choose. Does she really need a valid reason to why she doesn't want kids?
Who cares.

You missed the entire point of this topic. It was not specifically about this woman, but women like her who don't want children even though their lives are perfect for it. I heard enough "Because I/they don't" from her, no reason to repeat it, Ms. thestars >.>

I don't think I'm in the we that you're speaking of there. Can you please enlighten me on why it is understandable for a man to not have children? (ow=")

You're probably not in that portion that doesn't want kids, but there are two kinds of mating strategies for men. One of them involves pumping and dumping lots of women and not actually helping in child care/rearing. This isn't possible today because the government will hunt down those men.

I don't really get why you're referring to any woman who doesn't want kids as a stupid broad, I didn't realize that you had a final say in other people's lives. If this particular girl doesn't want a child than thats her choice don't go in trying to change her mind or anyone else's for that matter.

Any woman who's life is perfectly capable of supporting children and she "just doesn't" want them for no particular reason. Only those women.

Also, I can't even attempt to change her mind? Lol, communism?

I don't see a problem with not wanting kids.

I know a few people who have been married awhile and have no children and have no plans on ever having any, its a choice that someone has the right to. A child is a big responsibility and I see why some people would not want to take that on.

Chances are those couples met whenever they were already old and wrinkly and are not around our subject's age, which is 20. But the responsibility is pointless when you are well over "financially stable" she is. But at least you gave a reason. Thanks!

I'd rather be the child who was birthed from parents who genuinely wanted to have children rather than one that doesn't. Is probably gonna turn out better when it comes to raising a child and or children.

Umm, Pregnancy is painful and creepy to some women, and you get your ribs broken by some little parasite inside your body kicking at you. Some companies will lay you off and swear up down and sideways that it wasn't discriminatory. If you stay in the workforce your productivity will always be in question because the understanding of the public is that women are too distracted by their children to have serious careers. People treat your body like public property, and the potential health risks are immense. Your body is permanently changed and people will shame you for having one if you acknowledge your stretch marks. Having a child also changes your lifestyle for at least 20 years of your life. Some people might be afraid of their own ability to handle differences and decide to not put themselves in a situation where they may be forced to make those decisions.

Oh and some people don't have a reproductive instinct.

peace out.

I'm having a hard time telling if you are actually seriously shocked that women with the means to have kids and the resources to take care of them might still not want kids.

That's like saying anyone who can easily do a certain something should feel obligated to do that thing, even if they don't want to. Just because you can adopt a puppy from the shelter to save it from death doesn't mean you're obligated to even though you don't want a dog, although this, IMO, is worse than choosing to not have kids. But the right and freedom to make that choice is still there.

There are many personal reasons to not have kids. Some people just aren't cut out to be parents, may have other plans for the future, or just flat-out dislike kids. Raising a child is a very burdensome thing. It's not all about resources and one's ability to shoulder that burden. One has to be emotionally invested and very involved in the whole of such an affair. People shouldn't be having kids halfheartedly.

Some people just don't want children because they take a lot of work to raise. Maybe she's thinking something along the lines of, "why have a child if I'm not willing to devote the time and effort into raising them with a healthy standard of life?"

Kids are shit, especially this new generation of fucked up children that are coming now. Other peoples made me destroy my dream of becoming a teacher. So fuck em and if anyone on CR is planning on becoming a parent, make sure to raise them correctly. If you dont, ill come find you and throw sugar in your gas tank.

^This. I completely agree with this statement as a good reason of why some women today don't want to have kids. Having worked in retail for many years and currently working in a major home improvement store and having worked in fast food service before that, I have seen many families and kids in these establishments over the years. Some parents just don't get it at all and let their kids do whatever. I can't tell you how many times I've had to tell kids to stop doing something that would end up hurting themselves because the parent either wasn't paying attention or just didn't care. We're not damn babysitters! We don't get paid nearly enough for that. My friend's a teacher and I don't know how she can handle it sometimes. Back when I was in High School I wanted to be a High School English and Drama teacher and I am actually glad that I didn't end up persuing that now. Yes, I would be paid more than I make now, but for the current generation, it isn't worth it. I applaud the parents who are actually raising their kids right.
