Yes! Nowadays I mainly visit to study but before I would go to borrow books, read and relax, and when I was younger I actually used to participate in their summer book clubs and stuff. Most of the libraries where I Iive are pretty cool, with a good selection of books (variety of manga!), fairly friendly librarians, and the interior can range from Hogwarts castle-y vibes with multi-level platforms to pretty technologically advanced spaces with interactive art showcases and study pods.

Now that I think about it, I really love how diverse the libraries in my city are when it comes to design and innovation, cool places to chill so long as there aren't too many noisy kids hanging out.

I go about once or twice a week most of the time. They don't have the best selection (I use Inter-library Loan a lot) but it's getting better and they moved to a new location which is actually really nice, so I'm excited to see what they do with the extra space for books.

I've always got something checked out.

Me too.

I go to the library about twice a month. Sometimes I know exactly what I want to read and sometimes I let the shelves inspire me. There's always something interesting to be found.

Sadly, not anymore. I used to always visit the library and have a book checked out.

I've started going more. I used to never go as a kid, but now that I have bills to pay, I can't afford to buy every book I see. And now that I can walk to the library instead of drive, I go almost all the time!

I used to go to the library all the time, but now the closest one is a bit run down. I sometimes make a special trip out to a library in the city but I mainly go to study

Yes, and I have overdue fees that I do not care about.

I'm not quite sure how a library is there, according to my English teacher for you a library is almost like a supermarket whereas here are considerably smaller and not very popular among young people at all.
I often go to the library to study, I don't buy or borrow any book, :/ what the library has is not bad but rather quite outdated .
By the way the people I always see around are mostly middle-aged or elderly lol

I still pop into the library from time to time.
Not nearly as often as I wish I did, as I have the habit of simply buying a book that interests me (digitally or physically; often from Amazon).
At the same time, I love supporting the local library.

Have you guys heard of "The Little Free Library"?
I took the initiative and had our homeowner's association put several in the neighborhood.
I've been putting a metric ton of books into them that I no longer want or care much about, as well as putting in some YA/Children books.
It's the new alternative to the library, at least for those who are willing to read a random book (with what selection is available).

Apparently spammers love this library thread.

I've deleted a few of their posts. If you see more here, or elsewhere, please report.

(Also, apologies for out of order subsequent posts that may happen due to deletions as a result of a forum bug.)
