So I recently came across the sequel to Me!Me!Me!, GIRL. I've been striving to find a definitive answer to what it's about. Everyone seems to think the girl in GIRL is the blue-haired girl (Me-me as some people call her) from Me!Me!Me! and that it's another otaku criticism. One guy did an interesting interpretation which makes far more sense that any YouTuber I've seen, saying it's about enjo kosai, or

according to Wiki. He also says that the girl in GIRL models Daoko, which makes sense. I watched one of Daoko's videos and found parallels - she had the same exact haircut, school outfit, and the stuffed animal was in it.

Link to this dude's interpretation:https://incomputers.wordpress.com/2015/09/14/daoko-girl-an-analysis-pt-1/

Thoughts? Interpretations?

Parallels from the girl in GIRL to Daoko

If this thread already exists (though I couldn't find a similar one), take it down. Thanks.

I'm currently a fan of the following theory (I dunno who came up with it though:

This theory has some plot holes, but it does make some sense, to a certain degree.

I'm not good at analyzing such things but from various interpretations I have seen about it on the internet I have come to believe that the girl is a very insecure high school girl who is curious about sexual things so she creates a world of her own to escape her fears and insecurities. Theres a lot of symbolism that I couldn't possible list all of. But the gist is she is still a child on the inside who dreams of a perfect reality, hence the prince that appears. She tried to fulfill her sexual fantasies with men, like the enjo kousai mentioned, and when she finally reverts back to reality she sees the world in bland colors of gray and the people faceless. (I think she was trying to break free from her fake love offered to her.) The scene were she changes the business man into the shriveled human who rips a heart shaped whole into his chest is representative of one of the men who seduce young women. And when the protagonist finally sees the couple from ME!ME!ME! she realizes that everything she has, isn't real and plunges back into her fantasy only to continue on the path she had been on before.

This is the site that I agree with the most on the happenings of GIRL

Thank you both for the insightful interpretations! I haven't read part 2 of that one guy's theory yet but I have seen 1 other enjo kousai theory. The theories I've seen about it being Mememe-chan were loosely put together and not as elaborate and thought out as the one you posted, shinblade.
