That setup from PC Part Picker will get you 4K resolution gaming but I'm not sure about smooth 60 fps. Probably not for modern and upcoming games. It will work for short-term gaming investment but for long-term gaming investment, I would get 3-way GTX 980 Ti SLI, at least, and 16GB(32GB might be the best) RAM not to bottleneck with SLI setup.

EDIT: Here's the video of ultimate 4K gaming setup.

So what resolution is your TV? A lot of console players don't understand this but, you can't plug a console into a 4K tv and suddenly the games are 4K. They're not. Rise of The Tomb Raider is native 1080p.

I know, I know, I wasn't planning that, I was looking up maxed out settings on games, Tomb Raider being one of them. I have no plans on buying a 4K TV anytime soon

Tri 980 Ti set up? Ah the wallet cries, but if it'll give me a smooth 60FPS, then why the hell not.

So buying all those will get me set for a 4K PC Build? Wow, that's wow lower than the $2,500 build I had there, thanks so much!

For the 980 ti, one will suffice, no dual?

For more demanding games it might not be able to handle everything maxed out. But I'll start out with one anyway, and if you're not happy, you can decide to SLI. (or just look at 980ti benchmarks on youtube, in 4K). Also remember, because you'll be playing at 4K, you can turn off any anti-aliasing in the game options as it's not needed at that resolution. If you do decide to just go SLI anyway, then get a 1000W PSU instead.

What's SLI?

Sorry, again, I have no experience with PC, so all of this is brand spanking new for me

SLI just means using more than 1 graphics card. (Nvidia).
Crossfire means using more than 1 graphics card (AMD).

SLI is when you're running at least 2 graphics card for a bit more of horsepower.

Also keep in mind, monitor can sometimes change the gaming experience. ASUS will be releasing 4K 60fps monitor with G-sync technology. G-sync monitor reduces stuttering during gaming.

Oh, then I guess I'll be doing SLI for a smooth run.

And I saw. I think it was the most recent ROG that they released for a 4K experience, am I correct?

Not entirely sure haven't been following monitors for a while. You could just use your TV in the meantime though.

If you have no plans for buying a 4K TV anytime soon then you have no need of a 4K rendering PC anytime soon.......... Doing so would be a waste of money.

Just cause I don't wish to watch 4K television and movies, doesn't mean I don't wish to enjoy games in 4K resolution. I never watch TV, unless it's anime lol
