https://www.yahoo.com/movies/its-cap-vs-iron-man-in-action-packed-084247460.html

I profess that I'm not a big comic book guy, but I do read recaps and reviews of them from time to time, and I am having trouble understanding this trailer. From the limited reading that I did, I thought the roles were reversed: Cap was doing pro-america registration things with War Machine and Falcon and Tony was fighting the good fight against registration with Widow and a few others. Did i read the reviews and recaps through rose colored glasses or did others get a different impression than the trailer?

No, the roles are right. From Marvel.com:

When the US government passed a Superhuman Registration Act (SHRA) requiring all super heroes to register for government service, Iron Man aggressively championed the new law. Cap’s requests for review of the legislation were ignored, and he went rogue rather than hunt down rebellious heroes. A “Civil War” divided the super-hero community as heroes sided either with Iron Man’s government-sanctioned forces or Cap’s underground resistance...

Anyway, I'm curious about which major events from the Civil War arc we'll actually see. The big one (for me):

I don't read superheroes comic; i heard about the movie long ago. I read the plot of the movie and the comic from the internet, and they both say Captain's team is anti-registration and Iron Man's team is pro-registration.

Disney sure is giving us a lot of Marvel movies.

Oh well, as long as they're good.

So... Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2? That game is where I know the premise from, since I never really got into comic books. Was a pretty decent game at the time. The plots of so many superhero movies tend to be so convoluted, generic and/or boring, with the action being the only saving grace, that I can definitely get behind this.

If they do kill him off, it would be the perfect time to skip the time sync and replace him with falcon.

Not too knowledgeable about american comics, but I hear the story arc it's based on is notoriously awful. Not that it means much since the Marvel Cinematic Universe is far from being a 1:1 adaptation.

In my opinion, the Captain America movies are the best of all the Avengers series. Looking forward to this one.

Steve Rogers is going to have to survive for the Avengers 3 and 4 against Thanos. Its pretty much a marketing given.

My guess is that it will turn out to be a Red Skull plot to mind control superhumans. Cap and Iron Man will kiss and make up after taking down Red Skull. Expect to see more Zola. Also possibly some other Cap villains like Sin or Taskmaster.

Well don't look at Civil War the comic story because it's not the same thing. I don't like picking apart every little thing released for a movie because I feel it ruins it, but from what I can tell Cap is defending Bucky, the registration is put into play, they're debating with Cap against it and Tony for it, then someone blows up a building, they blame Bucky and civil war happens. They do introduce more characters, like if you watch closesly you can catch a few new good guys and bad guys. Personally, check out the trailer, then wait for the movie, if you wish to pick it apart until you know everything that happens, what's the point of watching it? I really wish this would stop, especially IMDB. While it's a great site, I wish it would wait until the movie is released before giving out the names of every character in the movie. I can list many surprise cameos in various movies, ruined by looking up an actor in IMDB only to see "big movie cameo 2017". That's why the internet is a blessing and a curse.

Though if you want a full breakdown, you can find it . If you ask me, wait for the movie.
