I didn't cook, but it was a great traditional thanksgiving dinner.

Wow! The comments here makes me hungry. I wish I could experience celebrating Thanksgiving too. It is not celebrated here where I live.

I went out to eat at a restaurant for thanksgiving meal. My eating out for thanksgiving V-card is now gone.

A chef cooked me chicken, corn, gravy, and stuffing.

Since I'm working abroad I was originally planning on just having some depressing meal in my hotel room, but the local US Embassy shot me an invite for their Thanksgiving feast. Had some of the classics - turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. alongside my fellow expats. It was a good time

I'm making some slow cooked porkbelly and some sweet mashed potatoes spiced with some pumpkin spice seasoning and some vanilla, also gonna have a side of some homemade sauerkraut too. Wish I had some maple syrup to drizzle into the sweet potatoes.

Now that this thread has been revived after two years by OPJ's spambot, it's a tasty treat to come back to:

Usually I just roast a small white-meat-only turkey breast in the crockpot (bastes itself for four hours!), and have enough REAL turkey stock collected to make soup on Friday--None of that Friday-morning "Turkey skeleton in flavorless water" like Mother used to make...

But I always pick up the last minute things on Monday and Tuesday, and for some reason, three different supermarkets didn't have just the white-meat turkey on sale.
Since I was still without on Wednesday, and it was just me, I decided to Charlie Brown it with just a big rotisserie chicken I could slice up for myself, and a pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes on the side.
