This may or may not fit in Books and Comics. Reason why I expanded this discussion to include the require reading in High School as a whole is to primarily have this not moved to books and comics. But if it belongs there it belongs there.

So much anime and not enough time or space. A class on anime as art would be nice.

Nice topic! Lala gives this thread her stamp of approval.

A couple of titles:

-Shokugeki no Soma to replace cooking classes
-Slam Dunk to replace P.E.
-Futari Ecchi to replace Sex Ed
-Silver Spoon for farming and agriculture education
-Yu-Gi-Oh to encourage trading cards to replace fighting as the traditional model

A history book for US schools. I swear most people there don't know anything about it, especially when it comes to World War.

Hetalia for history class....just kidding.

Seriously though, Breakfast Club is a great movie that high school students should all watch. It shows that whether you're a jock, a nerd or the prom queen; everyone has their own issues and we're all more alike than we think.

I actually had the breakfast club as required , it was good

I think something like " a good lie " or " the ultimate gift " would be a good choice to make required
