I recently saw some deals over the weekend for Hoverboards/Mini-Segways and it's peaked my interest the more videos I've seen on it.
For those that don't know, Hoverboards are essentially self-balancing scooters.
Here's an image if you're curious on what they look like:

I've had some debates w/ friends regarding their practicality. It seems pretty convenient from my perspective. They're pretty light, weighing in at 27 pounds. Their size makes it reasonably portable and they're fairly accessible due to their learning curve. I don't know if this is only for certain Mini-Segways, but they can go up to 10MPH.
I hear they're quite popular among YouTubers, but I've never went out and seen someone using it personally. You probably might have seen it before though.
They do have a somewhat steep price of about $280, but they're usually around the $400+ price range.
They seem pretty neat and nice to have.
What are your thoughts?

I feel like I'd get less exercise than I already do.

That's scary.

They shouldn't be called Hoverboards since they don't even float.

Overall, I think they're pretty cool but I don't think I'd ever buy one.

I'll wait to purchase the real Hoverboard if I'm not dead by then.

Yeah, I was a bit iffy on what I should refer to them as. Some individuals dub them as mini-segways, hoverboards, along w/ various other names. I ended up just going w/ Hoverboards since it's a term most people recognize.

I rather just ride my skateboard, it's pretty practical and way cheaper. Anyway, if you can't balance on a board, then you shouldn't ride the other lol

Those aren't real hoverboards and I refuse to call them that, hoverboards don't have f**king wheels.
