So I started today to watch this anime "Rainbow", about this seven guys in a school but is like a prison??.

The problem is... that I can't take off this uneasy feeling, this feeling that I don't want to watch this despite i have been recommended to watch this a lot. However, I actually am not enjoying at all?? Yes the anime does give a dark feeling, it's crude, I think that too much for myself.... ]and now I don´t know if i should continue it

ever felt that while watching something...? wanting to drop it but at the same time not?

woman, your thinking too much. if it keeps you watching, then watch. if your bored watching, drop it.

If you start feeling uncomfortable watching something then just stop watching it. I have been watching anime for years and have seen some really good stuff and some down right nasty insane stuff. I have several series that I've downloaded before and have yet to get through. I am watching 'Flame of Recca' and its not bad to me but, I really don't think I will be able to sit through the wrest of it. Nothing wrong with the show or its source material but, it just doesn't hook me like other series. As for your situation I would recommend stepping back from the show for a while and letting yourself recover. Then once you've got yourself straightened out then go back and finish the series.

Couldn't make any sense of that insane rambling.

If you feel uneasy watching an anime, just drop it.

anime, like any other form of entertainment, is as common sense would dictate, there to entertain. if something fails to entertain you, just stop watching. if you feel like you're only watching it out of some sort of obligation, you'll fail to receive any enjoyment from the series, and just look back bitterly on the time you feel like you've wasted.

TL;DR, if you don't like a show, just kick it to the curb and move on. it's that easy.

Ahh Rainbow, what a great anime.

I had this same exact feeling while watching Shakugan no Shana. I heard some good things about it, but it absolutely bored me to death. Biggest regret was forcing myself to watch it to the end, the ending was a huge disappointment.

If you're not enjoying it, then obviously you don't like it. It's best to drop it now.

Hey, you made enough sense of it to offer appropriate advice.

And it made sense to me. Not sure what you're going on about throwing out words like "insane" (it's kind of mean).

To Naseal:
I had a similar experience with Steins;Gate. kept hearing it was great, kept starting it, kept being bored. Not sure what made me push through the final time -- Episode 8 or 9 turned out to be the "Aha!" point, and I did end up liking it a lot.

But there is absolutely nothing wrong with just dropping something that's boring you, regardless of what other people say. It's not like there isn't plenty of other stuff to try, some of which may suit you better.

oh god, dont remind me of Shakugan no Shana, its on my top ten shit list animes. a true go nowhere romance that had great potential.

on the other hand, some get better with time or start slow. magica madoka comes to mind (ive never seen it)

I felt this same way watching Elfen Lied and I absolutely regret not stopping after I initially realized that I just found it to be boring. So if you dislike something, blow it off because it isn't worth your time.

I have trouble comprehending your question.

It seems like the issue here is that you simply can't make up your mind, haha.

I give everything a chance at first, even if it's not something I think I'll like, but if it doesn't hook me it doesn't hook me. How long I give it to do so depends on... lets call it chance. Sometimes I have more patience than other times. I don't really feel that conflicted watching something if I'm not sure I like it, though I have felt a little regret after watching one or two. I HAVE asked myself why I continue to watch something, but that just means there was nothing quite bad enough in it for me to swear off. If it becomes that big of a question to me while I watch something, I typically just shut it off mid episode and (possibly) return to it some days or weeks later to see if maybe I just wasn't feeling it.

Anyways... Lately I've realised that I have always been watching the mainstream stuff, and mainly my favourite animes are either mainstream or relatively new. However, because I always watch the mainstream, the new seasonal anime that come out, or animes that I've missed from other seasons, I have neglected other slightly older or older animes.

SO, I started investigating and adding animes in myanimelist, animes that vary from the 90-2011s, so far I have added those that have at least more than 8.0 /10 in rating in this websites. That's how I found RAINBOW
