Depends on the board. Sometimes, it seems like you can't be old enough for /b/. The place is cancer.

However, the consensus seems to be that: if you can handle the unholy trinity of the internet, you can handle 4chan.

The trinity? Would that be Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu?

I said unholy trinity, not holy trinity.

when I get children to be taught reason and moral before accessing such emotional, deep and dark areas where they know themselfs how far they can take it and how far they should and what to do if they see... that shit the shit that can ruin ANYONES mental health no age for that one saddly.

maturity. girls mature faster[1] than boys
just nope.
But yes I would say some girls do go fast out of that puberty stage, many including some mothers I have seen still are in the state of a child sometimes (includes those using fem as a way to express themselfs 20-close 40.. lol)

I think internet should require a license and an IQ test. Too smart, no internet. Too dumb, no internet. Only for normal people like me. Smart people should do other stuff like maths and stuff, and dumb people can just throw out the garbage.

Unmoderated on the internet? Too young is under 18, generally. Kids internet activities should at the very least be known by their parents. That said, it will depend on the person. Some 16 year olds can and should be able to be online unmoderated by parents. Some should not. And really, the internet is full of an assortment of great things and awful things.

For this particular forum, I'd say 15-16 is the youngest I think would be reasonable. Younger than that, I'd say no. But, I'm a Dad - so that would be for my kids.

I'll just sit here while everyone disagrees with me...

mdmrn all I know is that watching over what your children do on the web can cause relationship problems.
and I think father on the daughter and mother on the guys (even though some cases its good to discover if its things they do that could end their lifes or close by IP, address and some people going after just that) ...

When you've taught them about about good internet use, e-safety and prepared them emotionally, then I'd say about age of 12 if the child is mature and responsible. If they're not prepared or ready then keep an eye on internet use.

Hmm I think 35 is old enough to stumble upon some brutal gang rape bukakke videos, or decapitations, or animal cruelty...
