Hey there! I posted this yesterday onto reddit, and generally people agreed with me that Crunchyroll needs a Windows 10 app (especially Windows Phone users). I understand why Crunchyroll skipped Windows 8, it wasn't well received and people still preferred Windows 7. Windows 10 though is doing very well. It surpassed 120 million installs, and is generally being well received. Windows 10 runs on Xbox One, Lumias (Windows Phone), and PC. The universal app platform is meant to design an app for one platform, but it'll also work on another Windows 10 platform. So making an app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile requires little to no code change. Don't know if you guys really care or not, but we can make something like this possible. We need to make ourselves be heard! We need to tell Crunchyroll that we want a Universal Windows 10 app! Thanks.

Here's the 2 reddit posts I did on the matter. (The post in the Crunchyroll subreddit has a bit more detail than I do on here. Also some screenshots from Crunchyroll Support).

I think CR should take the first step in the Anti-Windows10-Movement thingy. Not supporting Windows 10 is a progressive idea on CR's part. HOOORAY CR!

What, why? Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but Windows 10 is actually a great operating system. Much better than Windows 7 and 8. Also, Crunchyroll has an app for every other planform, so why not Windows 10?

I could understand an app for the phones, but if you're on a desktop/laptop just use the damn browser. The console apps suck in general from what I hear though.

idk, most people on cr hate windows 10... and most people on the internet in general hate windows 10. I haven't tried it, nor do I /want/ to. I've seen the horrible windows 8, and so I'm going ot stick with windows 7.... where we have an actual start menu and programs are easy to find.... rather than whatever is going on in windows 8.

Also, as others have pointed out, windows 10 merges the internet with your OS. The two are no longer separate. Everything you type is logged AND SENT OUT over the web. You could be writing in a word processor, and it's being logged and sent out. Ads are everywhere or something too.

Yeah, I mostly want a Windows 10 app for my phone. The last time Crunchyroll updated the Windows Phone app was on Windows Phone 7 (several years old), it doesn't even support HD. I also can't hide the navigation bar (on the bottom) unless it's a native Windows 10 app. Which is very annoying when watching anime. It also "wouldn't" hurt to have a Windows 10 PC app, I mean, Netflix and Hulu have one, so why not Crunchyroll? Just another option users can have. As for the console apps, I've used it on both PS4 and Xbox One, they work fine. They support 1080p, and just works. Great way to watch anime on my TV.

Well, I use crunchy website and the app, the website videos like, just stop playing and I have to refresh the page if my wifi isnt fast. Sometimes it isnt even the wifi, but the app has next to no bugs...

You can disable the telemetry on Windows 10 if you want, it's not forced on you. As for the start menu, that has returned to Windows 10 and it's better than ever. I agree, Windows 8 wasn't all that great, but Windows 10 fixes all the issues people had with 8, and is faster than 7. Windows 10 is still free for another 7 months or so. As for ads, there isn't ads everywhere? While the OS is more connected with the internet, it is not filled with ads at all. Seems like you're reading a lot of false information.

You are way off from what Windows 10 is. All the telemetry can be turned off. UI wise it is more like Windows 7. Start menu and all.

Yeah the app is flawless on my iphone 6s. I just wish it had more features like the site and didn't look ugly. Internet speed plays a big part in streaming though, you should use a wired connection if you can. Wifi is nice and all but ethernet reigns.

I cannot speak for the other console apps, but I can't complain much about the WII U one because it works fine 99% of the time and it really is the ideal way to enjoy Crunchyroll on your TV, at least on my case.

These are the 2 glitches I can complain about, but that do not happen very often:
- Out of nowhere the episode stops and we're sent back to the last menu we've been (at least it will resume the episode on the right place)
- Recently launched episode does not have the full length (e.g. Haikyuu!! 2 recently had an episode with only 8 minutes. I ended up watching it on my laptop)

I do agree with you that if you're on a desktop/laptop just use the damn browser

I probably only think it's ugly because I'm an Alabama Crimson Tide fan...
