Never ever thought I would get into watching Anime, but one of my friends put me onto Attack on Titan and it started a chain of events ever since trying to find decent Animes that can hold my attention so i need some help!
Animes I LOVED:
1. Hunter X Hunter (2011) - By far my favorite. Loved the action/battles/the individuality of the characters and how it shifted from light-to serious moods. Also a good length (lots of story, more time with the characters etc...)
2.Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood- Same reasons for why I loved HXH + All the unique alchemists and serious story. Also enjoyed the length of the series.
3. Attack on Titan- Loved the serious/dark tone, blood/gore and how no character was safe. Also how it wasn't just one person fighting the whole time.
4. Akame Ga Kill (Most recent)- This is where my heart is right now, loved everything about this. The awesome and unique weapons***, unique characters, the action, the fights, the blood/gore, the mood shifting from light/funny to serious. The last 4-6 episodes were tough to swallow, felt a little rushed (also wanted more room for continuation)
Animes I've seen and Liked:
-Fate/Zero (concept was awesome and action was okay, but i felt the dialogues were wayyyyy tooooo lonnnng and drawn out)
Currently Tokyo Ghoul (despite the main character constantly whining and being a pansy about everything) and Black Bullet are doing okay in retaining my attention but not nearly like the top 4 (+Afro Samurai) did.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help!
I'm newer to anime then you but ill see if I can help
-attack on titan
-hetalia axis powers
-Tokyo ghoul season 1
-sword art online season 1 (loved the abridged series on youtube btw XD)
-2 episodes left of mirai nikki season 1
I want to watch hunter x hunter and full metal alchemist, so id say our tastes are probably quite similar.
I recommend Mirai Nikki the most from what you like: its like a survival anime. its really good and REALLY addictive. its not exactly gory but its dark and there is some blood. its 26 episodes long. starting to get kinda confusing last couple of episodes but loving it. heres a summary: Yukiteru always rejects offers to go out with friends, preferring to spend the time writing a diary on his cell phone. He has what he believes is an imaginary friend called Deus Ex Machina. However, one day Deus asks him to play a survival game along with eleven others. The winner becomes the next Deus Ex Machina. In order to win, the contestants must use their diaries of the future to eliminate one another. For Yukiteru to survive, he must team up with another diary holder, a girl named Yuno.
Genre: Action, Shounen, Supernatural
also death note- not an action like most the ones up there but more of a thriller. great story and great characters. its 36 (ish- I cant remember) episodes long. - Yagami Light is an ace student with great aspects who’s bored out of his mind. One day he finds the Death Note, a notebook held by a shinigami (Death God). With the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create a perfect world. A world without crime or criminals. However when criminals start dropping dead one by one, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer.
Genre: Mystery, Police, Psychological, Supernatural, Thriller
