I am scared to death of the idea that my sister would walk to home alone, she is too, which is just unfortunate for us. That is, that we live during a time in which women are unable to do daily activities without fear of being harassed. I hope in the future all this will be sorted out.

Which is funny because men are statistically 4-5x more likely to get killed by a stranger. You lucky bastard that has nothing to fear!

Women are more likely to be killed by intimates though.

In general, people should be afraid, not just girls.

Hahaha, I'd love to post an example, but I'll leave it at this:

"FreeTheNipple is a movement around women's right to breast feed in public"
Some people have hijacked it and made it about women to "show off their nipples in public like men do", but frankly I think we should ban both because old men nipples are disgusting.

Lol I thought I was the only one who thought that women AND men shouldn't show their nipples in public. I was walking in my neighborhood one day and this old hairy man came out without a shirt and was just standing there. That was so scarring and disgusting.

The major problem here is that college students, and Millenials in general, have difficulty swallowing the concept of "taking responsibility for one's choices". Every complaint you've raised, OP, boils down to a lack of wanting to take responsibility.

The notion of having to ask partners, who may or may not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, multiple times before anything sexual is done boils down to both parties not wanting to take responsibility for their choices and the consequences that follow.

The same can be said about having to deal minorities a better hand in order to get them in to a certain field. If you're trying to inflate their abilities so that they'll get into med school, are you prepared to deal with the consequences when, for whatever reason, they can't keep up with their studies?

Honestly, this. People need to look after themselves.

I thought Free the Nipple had something to do with Instagram?

It is important to distinguish feminism from womens rights, as the two are not the same thing. Virtually everybody supports womens rights while only something like 20% of people identify as feminists. Feminism carries a lot of baggage and excessive ridiculousness with it starting with the things mentioned in the op and devolving into some frightening levels of crazy.

I remember in college a year or so back when some feminists had a stand set up in the hall between classes. As I was walking by, one of them approached me and asked me to write "why we need feminism" on a note and put it on a board.

She then said "we don't hate all men."

Needless to say, that experience was incredibly disturbing to me. It came across as cultish, and the fact that they needed to justify their lack of hatred seemed very odd.

I think of it like if a black-rights group decided to do the same to me (me being white as can be), and said "we don't hate all white people!" when trying to get my support.

Incredibly disturbing in any case.

As far as what feminism has done for me, if you ask the question seriously:

Absolutely nothing. During my lifetime, feminism has gone from championing women's rights to largely being composed of SJWs who aren't even educated enough to understand what the real issues are affecting gender equality. So instead, they invent issues out of thin air, lobby on college campuses and even in government, and do everything in their power to draw attention to their plight without ever actually doing anything to fight the problems that are still around.

So while I think that everybody should be treated as an individual, regardless of gender or sexual orientation or anything else, I do not like that modern feminism has become such a joke. I do not like that many feminists have adopted an attitude of "you are either with us or against us", or that it has switched from education to brainwashing.

I mean, just a couple of months ago my campus invited me to take a survey - and the entire survey was essentially invented issues that had no right or wrong answer listed for me to choose from. College should be a place for learning and freedom of thought - not for social justice warrior brainwashing and people who do everything in their power to bring about the demise of their own platform.

I want to deal with real issues. Not invented ones. I understand that many people around my age feel the need for activism - but if your activism is poorly informed then it can do far more damage than it is worth.

I mean, even things as simple as pointing to the USA wage gap between men and women and taking the overall numbers rather than doing a per-job evaluation is disgusting. The gap between wages still exists, mind you, but from all statistics I've seen it tends to be between 90-95% of the wage for similar jobs - but all I ever see is feminists point towards "70 cents on the dollar" statistics without any context in order to garner sympathy.

Why is it that 5-10% differences in wages isn't worthy enough to address, so they feel the need to use misleading, inaccurate, and irrelevant statements? It isn't worth lying about the issues at hand and making issues out to be bigger than they really are if you want to get real support. Intellectually, it is dishonest, and that's one thing I can't stand.

You mean 3rd wave feminism right? The group of self-entitled, parasitic, misandry-loving sociopaths that are creating more problems with their extremely close minded and radically liberal views? All they're doing is complaining about "manspreading", the oppressive "patriarchy", "wage gaps", "self entitled men", and the rest of the nonsensical gibberish they spew when in reality they are just trying to blame others for their own inadequacy and poor decision making.

I've never seen such a huge gathering of arrogant hypocrites create a cult that is not only negatively affecting society but even going as far as to break as many boundaries of basic logic as they see fit just to justify their unhappiness as a human being. What good have they done?
