What anime makes you proud of being an anime fan?
Posted 12/7/15
What anime makes you fall in love with anime all over again and why? (if that makes sense)

I find it hard to find anime that get me hyped nowadays but there are those few gems that make me so happy that I discovered anime, such as:

- Death Note
I don't really get emotionally attached to shows but every episode of death note was amazing and made me want to watch more. As soon as it ended I just felt empty.

-Hunter x Hunter

Pretty much the same thing with hunter x hunter, this show always had me on the edge (especially on the chimera ant arc), it's such a shame it won't be coming back any time soon .

I'm sure there are many more anime that I'm missing out.

Your Lie in April
This series made me cry on episode freaking 2. Nothing sad happened in the episode. It was just overwhelmingly beautiful that I was actually brought to tears. Beautiful, amazing series.

Nana
Amazing series. Charming characters, great music, and poignant drama.

It's series like these that make me proud to be a fan of anime. Although, I wouldn't be ashamed of any anime I've seen or enjoyed honestly.

In before Boku No Pico

For me it would probably be Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. While it's not my favorite it feels the most complete.

What a great topic!

Animes that I convince non-anime fans to watch and they love,

Deathnote - lawyer types like this

Ghost in the Shell - philosophical types

Steins;Gate - conspiracy theory types

Gantz and Berserk - action movie lovers

Earth Maiden Arjuna - hippies

I'm a proud Macross fan too.

Steins; Gate : best time travel sci-fi I've ever seen or read.

Usagi Drop : An almost perfect slice-of-life family drama; it's exactly the kind of thing that everyone else seems to get wrong.

Clannad: After Story : The most emotionally powerful story I've ever run across.

I read a review that said something like "I knew I was in for an emotional ride, but i didn't expect my heart to get used like a hacky-sack!" Too true. But then... the cheap as end
*seriously, this is the end getting spoiled, don't open it if you havn't seen it*
