Vidoes stop 1/ 2 way

We got an upgrade of the Internet and things were going fine until yestertday Ftiday and today . Whwn watching a video it stops like 1/2 way .

Watched vidoes on Funimation worked fine. It's only on CR

This is on Oprea / start with clean cache history / have all software updated. It was good for 2 weeks after the upgrade !

Same with me, it crashed at the halfpoint mark in the video, and every time I try to start it over it crashes again after the ads play.

Youtube is working fine.

What show/episode/resolution? Are you watching on an app or the website? If on the website, have you tried watching at a different resolution? Have you tried clearing your cache/Flash cache on the browser or device, or attempted to watch using a different browser?

I guess you forgot to read my I cleaned everything up / it's on SD since I had so masny provlems before I came back to Oprea because Firfox dont let me do as many things It's on an PC and was fine for two weeks after the upgrade and bave zero problems on Funimation.

It was on any new show

Now later on and today did not change anything and worked fine / this after a ticket was sent in.I jist like how we aslways get blamed when we should not have to ne A PC trained really ! The new router ( State of the Art Next Netgear ) was 200 hundred dollasrs so we could get better results and and Internet upgrade but the same sorry I an at fault from you from you. You treat eveybody like you are lokking down on them.

I even have a cleaner that blears all the lovely LSO's that CR dumps deep on my PC On Firefox my Anti-Virus blocks so much junk from CR I dont use it.

BTW CR is the only website that seems to use more resourves than other websites.

My videos are constantly freezing and stuttering. I have followed all of the instructions in the Video Help Guide. I even emailed CrunchyRoll about it. I am constantly having to clear the cache in Flash and Chrome (I have tried FireFox/IE with the same issues). It's not any one series it happens with all videos. It happens all of the time. This doesn't happen on other streaming sites (YouTube, Funimation, etc...).

My ISP is Comcast and my speeds are 150Mbps Down /10Mbps Up. I use OpenDNS as my DNS servers (I have tried GoogleDNS as well).

Here is what Crunchyroll told me:
Thanks for your follow up and providing details on your connectivity issues.

Sincere apologies for the issues you're seeing, and thanks so much for your patience working on this. At this point, there are no further steps that we can take to resolve your issue at this time. I will pass your information and test results onto our Operations Team.
However, we would like to let you know that issues like this are being looked at, and we are actively working on multiple solutions to provide you a better streaming experience in the future. We are currently working to enhance our Flash Player, so as to remedy the playback problems described.

We are also adding additional CDNs to help provide more robust serving, and a physically closer servers to your PC for when you do stream our content.

Our Operations Team is hard at work to bring you these enhancements in the near future, and again, we appreciate your patience as we work on improving your connectivity experience. In the meantime, if you have a mobile, console, or set top box device you may experience better connectivity when watching our content through a Crunchyroll app.

Thanks so much for supporting Crunchyroll, as well as the anime industry. Let me know if there is anything at all I can further assist with.

So at this point it seems my only real option is to try streaming it to a separate device besides my computer.

I've been having these issues a lot myself and with some looking around the forums and Google I came across a third party application called Kodi.

I don't particularly like using it, tbh. It seems a little much and honestly I feel like we shouldn't have to resort to using a third party application just to watch something we pay for but here we are.

It does, however, get rid of the stopping every few minutes issue. Kodi is kind of annoying to me to use but it is definitely much less annoying than having to refresh my browser every few minutes.

It runs smoothly and I suspect it actually buffers - which for some dumb reason it seems that Crunchyroll's browser player does not?

I think you do need a premium crunchyroll account to use Kodi though.

And you have to get the add on for Crunchyroll.

Like I said. An annoyance but I'll take the lesser of the annoyances in this case until Crunchyroll can get its crap together.

Same thing happening on Xb1 it just goes to black screen when you try to play a show. Drives me crazy. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled I even erased the local data and tried a soft reset but nothing. I am not sure what to make of it.

Good luck I tried to use the Xb1 app and I keeps black screening me. The app does not crash I can back out and choose another episode but nothing actually plays. I have no idea why. I have tried everything from reinstalling to clearing local data. Just a pain. Hope you have better luck and that it gets fixed.

Randomly stutters to a complete stop. No matter the browser, no matter the quality... and only on Crunchyroll. Why does one of the biggest places for legal anime have to have so many problems?

Been happening to me for about 3 weeks now. Multiple devices. Kodi turns to garbled mush and starts skipping ahead. Android TV glitches and stutters. Roku drops to SD and eventually a black screen after a few episodes.
