https://www.yahoo.com/news/foreign-fighters-in-syria-more-than-double--posing-terror-threat-as-they-begin-to-return-home-024340770.html

These men and women made the choice to leave their native countries and to fight for or support isis. The problem mainly for Europe "by the numbers" is they are now returning or claiming they didn't like the way isis operated. What should be done to people who try to make the trip and to those that actually made the trip and now want to come back. Lastly to those already in Syria or Iraq fighting for isis.

My thoughts

Explain your thoughts on the matter.

I think dissent should be protected under free speech( to a point, but what do I know), but if they choose to fight (or leak intelligence) they should be treated as any other enemy combatant and imprisoned or killed.

My thoughts are..338 Lapua Magnum and a C14 Timberwolf. I'd treat them same as any other camel jockey. They made their choice and they have to live up to the consequences. Terrorist scum like them have already used up their second chance. And don't give me that freedom speech bullshit, their rights were forfeit the minute they decided being a normal and sane human being wasn't good enough for them.

And anyone who thinks they deserve less..get the hell out of my country, it doesn't need ISIS sympathizers like you.

If you support terrorism or religious extremism you not only deserve to be barred from coming home but also shot.

it's good for the narrative. you might be right to punish them but it would be far better to make use of them. by the sound of it, some would be rejected if they were to return back to ISIS. Change their look and have them fulfill a role.

There are spies who are spies only after being caught doing something bad.

Anyway, it's not up to me.

This is called treason. Capital punishment, please.

You don't get to voluntarily join an enemy army and then come back because you didn't like the way they operate. This is beyond mere free speech.

Lol all the world need to do is stop commercial trade of shipments of food and water going in or out and let them starve to death and when they try to invade other regions there should be a combine strike force to eliminate the threats when the try to leave becouse they will be starving and boom problem solve ,

Nothing.

Let them die with isis.

If they want to return home, that's just too bad.

While I agree with most of your guys sentiments i'm going for more of a policy. Take America for example if those 250 men and women made it to isis and tried to come back I sincerely doubt any death sentences would be passed no matter what these people did. The media would make America the bad guy for using a death penalty for these men and women. That's why i'm more for letting them live in a living hell than welcoming them back. Cut out the middleman so to say. They either rebuild their lives over there while weakening the islamic extremists or they die off. Personally fine with either result.

I'm sure in the USA, Obama has declared war on ISIS/ISIL whatever he wants to call them this week, so we are on "combat footing" If you don't want to put them on trial for treason, then you could treat them like child molesters. Lifetime on watch list, make them wear a lo-jack, make them go door to door to inform the people around them what they did, and this is all after they do 5+ years of hard labor, and remove their right to vote, own firearms, collect government aid, etc etc.

That's being nice.

The mentality of people is scary. If they leave the country legally and distant themselves from the country just prevent them from coming back. No need for this whole execution thing.

The problem is what to do when they either beg to come back/ or sneak back in. That's why I wouldn't mind leaving them there and if they make it back send them back and place them under rebels command with the understanding that they are no longer citizens of the country they left.

What would you do if they sneak back in?

Put them in Christmas island forever or deport them back.
