We all have one -- a bad anime break-up.

You used to love it. Maybe you wore it on your shirt, or played its games, or recommended it to everyone you knew, but now you check in with it just to see how it's doing, or drunk dial it every now and then spewing hate and reliving trauma.

Some of the big shounen series might come to mind, though my newest one is Monogatari. It used to have legitimate twists, interesting characters, humour, and heart-breaking moments, but now all it seems content to do is stick two (sometimes three!) characters in a room and spout boring exposition for 20 minutes. I don't remember the last time there was a decent action scene. I don't remember the last time it made me laugh. I don't remember the last time it made me emotional -- sad or glad. The last good arc was probably "Mayoi Jiangshi." Not even the fan-service has been up to par. The only reason I'm watching anymore is to finish it off, almost as a courtesy. But that has been my rant.

Any shows you'd like to rant/gripe about? Any shows you've forgotten how much you loved?

i don't watch any long running shows and there's really no point recommending something popular. they at least already know about it

i never look back on the short running shows either. nothing to regret there.

I don't know if I'd say I loved it, but...SAO.
It started out with a good story, interesting idea, and promising characters. Even with all the pointless filler, lackluster character development and harem aspects, the first season was definitely passable and I liked it.
Then Alfheim happened and I wanted to crawl into a hole.

I guess Pokemon when it was in its prime time in the early 2000s. I had games, toys, cards, and all that good stuff. I guess my age drifted me away from it.

Death Note.

No matter how many years passed, it's still a good show.

I can't think of any show like that. But that doesn't preclude the notion that there might have been a forgotten good show that I have yet to remember.

I didn't mind Alfheim, actually I enjoyed it because I loved the tension, and him finally kicking that fuckers ass, season 2 sucked though...

Guys I think TS meant to ask if there are any shows you used to like but now dislike. I don't have any shows like that personally.
