Looks like Version 3.0 was released today.

So far it's a little buggy. I had it freeze up in the middle of an episode and it rebooted my Roku.

I like the layout. I think it's a big improvement, and much easier to navigate. I'm happy to see the FF/RW buttons only jump to the next set of titles, rather than jumping all the way to the end of the list.

I wish they'd bring back grouping by season. Sometimes I like to revisit past seasons. I think that's still available on AppleTV. I'll have to check later.

i had the same reboot problem with it as well. it does look nice i just wish they'd fix the issue with the ads for non premium memebers. crashed everytime with and show before update now app atleast stays open but says its a playback issue on my roku 2. with my roku 3 will work fine until one ad (think its a car ad) comes on and crashes app in middle of ad

I also noticed that sometimes the FF/RW progress screen doesn't work. I'll hit the FF button and the screen remains frozen. The FF still works, I just can't see how far it's going. If I stop the episode and go back to the menu, then restart the episode, it works the way it's supposed to (a progress screen with little thumbshots).

Yeah this 3.0 isn't nearly as good as 2.0 sadly, not a fan of the new remote layout, I think I would be fine with it if the Up and Down Arrows functioned as next and last episode.

also there has been a lot more lag then ever before plus some odd things happening like 10 seconds of a anime repeating multiple times in random locations when lag spikes happen.

I'm sad because I thought this was going to resolve the problems that started last week where app would exit. Now it says there's a playback error, no matter what I do. The last time I had this many issues with the Roku, they said that I need to buy a newer model to keep up with Crunchyroll's App, so I "upgraded" to the Roku 1 last year. Worked fine until last week, and Crunchyroll is the only reason I own a Roku. I downloaded another app (Crackle) just to make sure the issue wasn't internet connection related. Videos play fine in that app.

Are you kidding me Crunchyroll? What is with you and software updates? You had finally, finally, gotten 2.0 stable and, frankly, usable. It still had some issues (mainly with interface speed) but it was finally working. And now this... 3.0, another poorly conceived, prematurely released, pile of user interface. Didn't you learn from the 2.0 debacle not to throw something out before it's finished???

First the good (yes there are positives)
- The video player. Finally, a Netflix style player with multiple search speeds and preview. Good job. (Why couldn't you have just added this player to the 2.0 UI? Or even the 1.0 UI?)
- No more 60 second delay coming back from a video (or pretty much any time the 'page' changed).

Now the bad (Issues)
- You can't just play the latest video from the My Queue screen (using 'play' for example). You have to select the show and then select play. WHY? And this change does nothing to make any of the other information easier to get at as you still have to go to yet another screen to get the show description or pick a different episode. Make the play button start the currently queued episode and have OK take you directly to the 'Show' information page (move the remove button to that page and get rid of that 3 button intermediate page).
- The new interface has no method to jump to the end of the queue. You can't just move to the left from the start (like every other Roku app) and you can't jump to the end with fast forward (since that jumps 6 ahead now). I have 230+ shows in my queue and the new shows are all at the end -- this is a major pain in the a$$. While I could reorder my entire queue (not a fun thought), new shows will still get added at the end so I'll have to reorder every time I add a show. Even then this sucks when browsing shows, like Fairy Tail, with hundreds of episodes.
- There is no quick way to move to the previous or next video in the player (the arrows did this in the old player but now they jump around in the video, which is kind of redundant to fast forward/reverse). Instead you have to exit the show, go back up a level, go down to show info, and then browse through the whole list of episodes to get to the episode you want.
- Smaller icons while browsing shows in My Queue (and no larger view of the selected item). I can hardly see the new icons.

The sad part is that a really good beta test should have found all of these rough edges.

[Now I'll sit back and wait to get blasted by the Crunchyroll can do no wrong fan-persons... ]

I agree. POS ui. I cant easily go to the next and previous episodes like before, because they thought it would be a great idea to add 2 forms of fastforwarding.

This was a horrible update...Traveller1116 is on point with the issues.
main gripe is that there is some serious lag when backing out, and there is no easy way to get to the latest episode. If I can't jump to the last episode anymore, they should at least make it so the episodes circle around

overall not happy with the update myself. When I lose my fast forward bar progress thing on my roku 3 the only way to get it back is to unplug the roku. I have figured out how many left and rights to fast forward through the credits, but still kinda annoying.

Ever since the update I haven't been able to watch anything. I keep getting Playback Interrupeted "Sorry, the app can't continue playing your video because of an unexpected error, Please Check your connection - my connection is fine it's Crunchy that has the problem...

Just get a Chromecast, They are only $30 and i have no issues with Crunchyroll at all. It had been well over a year with the last update that never fixed the problems I had so I gave up. I love my Roku, but the CR devs just do not know how to properly develop for it at all.
