??? Hell to the no, I was there just once and the traffic alone makes me question the sanity of all those that live there. Also do Taxi drivers get pay raises based on how many people they run over crossing at the crosswalk, cause it sure seems like it.

High taxes, high cost of living, and high congestion... No thanks.
Also I hear the NYPD is pretty overbearing.

No. I hate the "culture" of any major city and no matter which one I visit they all seem to be the same. And no i will not explain what I mean by "culture" because it means more than one thing.

Lived there 3 different times back in the day. It was high-density back then also. Stuff is more expensive now, especially there. Perhaps another lifetime.

I live in NY but not the city, but I dread the idea of having to go there. Lots of traffic, lots of people and it smells. Don't worry you're really not missing much. I wouldn't want to live there, and I'm uncertain whether I'll even be able to afford to live out here on my own.

I don't think I could. I've been to Manhattan (visiting an aunt who works at the U.N, oddly enough she lives in New Jersey) and I like how easy it is to get around the city proper but I like peace and quiet and I seriously doubt I'd get any if I lived in the Big Apple.

I looove New York. I love the crowds, the people i.e. different fashion, personalities, culture. The nightlife is great. New York makes me feel alive, and I get endless inspiration from the whole scene. Maybe it has something to do with me loving to engage in crowds and people. The busy/working streets also inspire me to focus more on my own endeavors.
