3 different times was enough already. No desire to go back ever. Everyone I know is gone from there. Good spots abound there for mushroom growing but me, as far as MJ growing goes....out here

It can't be any worse than indiana, my town is dead 24/7. I've heard multiple people say that new yorkers are rude, but there are rude people all over this world.

Absolutely! If I could afford it..... I was born and raised in the city and NYC seems like THE city to live in. I actually recently got offered a job to work in NYC, but the pay definitely wouldn't have covered the cost of living. At least to the standard that I'm now used to. I've currently got a 2 bedroom apartment with an amazing view in downtown Nashville, but if I were to make a move to the Big Apple, that apartment would get bumped down to a 1 bedroom, I'd probably be staring at some parking lot and it'd more than likely cost me an additional $1500 a month for rent. Unless I'm getting offered six figures, I'm gonna have to pass on NYC...

I lived there for a month a few years back and there are definitely some pros and cons.

Pros:
-So much to do, there is a meetup group and events for basically every hobby and interest
-People are generally very friendly (no idea where the rude New Yorker stereotype comes from, typically treated much better than in my home state CT)
-Restaurant diversity, any type of food you want you can find it extremely easily, and most of the time of decent quality
-Kinokuniya bookstore and a maid cafe, if you like anime it doesn't get much better than that in the US :P
-Central Park is huge and beautiful, love aimlessly walking around
-Since it is a major city major concerts almost always have a show
-Lots of 20 and 30 somethings (the older you get the more this matters!). I live out in the suburbs, it's all kids and people raising them here which means as a 20 something with no children I am often bored out of my mind
-Clubs that actually don't suck! I typically hate clubbing, but I make an exception for NYC, if you like techno/electronic music like me there are plenty of decent options, just remember to pregame so you don't go bankrupt
-So many great museums
-Cool art and music culture

Cons:
-Super Expensive, basically everything, but housing prices are the absolute worst
-IMO, not the greatest place in the world to raise children due to a lack of privacy/space
-New York subway system is extremely dirty and run down, although I have to say at least it is usually reliable.
-Driving is a nightmare although you really don't need a car to get around

Well anyone can afford to, I just don't want to live in a roach infested closet in Northern Bronx to make that happen

I love NYC!

One day I'll get a cute micro-apartment and live there.
