Apocalyptic idea in 2012

well that could be true but also according to the christians bible the "apocolypse" as some say will happen during these events
1: war in the holy land (we haves wars there we might know it as iraq
2: world makes major changes (such as ice cap meltings and the recent strange weather)
thats all i can remember now but so far all are happening

yes, exactly..... and people are afraid of it... excluding that theory... yes, it may be the venus thing that the cycle of venus or whatever... but there could also be a possibility that they have to think whats next? since the venus cycle ended.....

Why do people look forword to apocalypses. Every few years they find some profesy about apocalypse and when it doesn't happen there is soon amother. Is it so fun to think you might get extinct? Personally I don't believe in it. Not enough evidence for me.

the accuracy is uncanny, ever see the movie 23? its just an unnaturally high coincidence, and the mayan calendar said it would be rebirth, nothin about inpending doom... and as i recall, there was a bit more then once the greeks have said something wrong

lol its an interesting idea but i seriously doubt it'd be the end of the world in 2012 unless some meteor screws the earth up or volcanos just start popping up outta nowhere and start errpting or heck maybe even an alien race will come and try to steal our planet, i dunno i just dont see it happening. ignorance is bliss yes?

mayans were gd at predictin future n so made calendars datin the eras. there last calendar ends on december 21, 2012. Its the end of an era not the world. My theories for not makin anymor calendars was that either we will transcend time or the world will be altered (like in Darker Than Black which would be cool) or that the calendar-writers were lazy or knew they would not live till then. In the end forgot bout when the world will end jus liv in the present cuz it will be God's doin (or George Bush's )
And we'll prolly live till then so jus wait n c

About the Mayan Calender thing, do you have a hold of one? Have you met a Mayan? Has a Mayan with a Mayan Calender ever talked to you? What is a Mayan? I'm guessing you'll answer no to most of these, or I don't know for that last question. Until you see one with your own eyes, you won't know if the Mayan Calender really predicted the world to end on 2012. No matter how accurate it is, what if the information you were given is false?

The thing is, rumors and word of "the world is ending", for instance, y2k, spreads like wildfire, and most of the time, we can't figure if it is true or false. If it isn't absolutely certain it will happen, we really won't know until 2012 right? Theres no use in living thinking 2012 is that end and on the day before,do something we'll really regret, like go streaking, right?

Btw excuse my rambling, I've read an article about the Mayan Calender and the world ending and have been thinking about it for quite some time.
