But is it offensive to bulls, due to all of the red colors?

Bulls are colorblind. It's actually movement that stimulates their instinct to charge.

Useless fact of the day.

Yes. It deeply offends me. My feelings are incredibly hurt every time I see a picture of Santa. I demand that it gets banned!

I'm being sarcastic. Who the fuck is offended by Christmas?

I do not find Christmas offensive.

Interestingly, most of the people I know who don't like Christmas are Christians offended by the Pagan elements.

Is any holiday offensive? I'm sure if I was soft as Charmin I'd find a way to find them so. Christmas sure as hell isn't.

I think what they are offended by is the sense that Christianity is sort of "pushed" onto us a lot in this country especially during the holiday's.
Whether or not that is true alot of people seem to feel like american culture and politics are too influenced by the church.

I don't think getting mad at pictures relating to Christmas is a good way to go about venting frustration, but If people want to waste their time doing that then be my guest.

I just view it as another holiday where you spend time with family and exchange gifts.

I'm not offended by Christmas. I am offended by people trying to make me celebrate it in freakin' October or drag me into their so-called "festive activities".

I also get offended when people try to force me to celebrate Thanksgiving because I am not of a nationality that has a traditional culture of farming.

I would say there are primarily (3) reasons people get offended by Christmas

1) Christians who recognize it as a pagan holiday. True, there is almost nothing Christian about Christmas. It is simply an old european winter solstice festival that got rebranded by the Catholic church. Non-deciduous trees are used to symbolize enduring winter, lights (originally candles) for enduring the darkest time of the year.
My take: So what? It's harmless. No one is kneeling in front of the tree and worshipping it, so there is nothing sacrilegious about it.

2) Progressives/Marxists who are offended at the wanton overindulgence of capitalist excess. I get this, some people go overboard. Sometimes it feels like Christmas is nothing more than a way for corporations to get us to spend, spend, spend. But Christmas presents can also be inexpensive or homemade. And even if they're not, when you're spending your money on others rather than yourself, there's a little bit of the communist spirit in there. Bonus points if you participate in gift programs for the needy.

3) Angsty youth that automatically hate things for no real reason other than the fact that people are merry. Or maybe it's "too mainstream". I dunno. Dumb reasons. My guess OP, is that the majority of people on your internet forum fall into this category.

Oh, like that story about the guy who was resentfully paranoid of the "fools" around him too, and thought everyone was "playing at" the big marketed swindle of generosity and goodwill, as an excuse to drive commerce and fool them into "buying things of which they had no need". (Btw, he stopped in at a church, in the last chapter.)

As for Christmas trolling, some of it's angry "Hey, forgot somebody?" Jewish humor from those who don't or couldn't as kids, others is just angry-teen objectifying some issue that Christmas is all about annoying TV specials and, ick, optimistic people getting in your face, because they like nice easy shock symbols.
Both factions are the reasons we get all those annoying Christmas-themed slob-comedy movies every December, all wishfully thinking that they're following Billy Bob Thornton's lead.

But, this being an anime board, you're free to celebrate Christmas in the same confused spiritually-expunged way other countries do by coldly recreating images they see on Western TV out of all cultural context:
Hope you've got your Christmas Date to sit by the fire with, and enjoy your KFC and Christmas cake with, and sing that song about the Red-Nosed Reindeer before praying to Saint Claus.

I believe I have already said I am an atheist so for me, Christmas isn't about religion. It's simply about sharing gifts, seeing family and celebrating. I haven't "made up" my own holiday or my own version of Christmas. That's how most people celebrate it now. Why don't you take some time to read through all the comments on this post? Most people are saying the same thing.

No matter how I choose to celebrate Christmas or no matter how anyone else choose to celebrate Christmas, why do you care? Why does anybody care? Why do other peoples celebrations offend you, unless you have no life of your own. There is no "correct" way to celebrate anything. People are free to enjoy holidays however they wish. But I suppose you're one of those sad people who enjoys holidays by trying to ruin everybody's time. As I said in my original post... get a life

To me, it goes like this:

It's the holidays, I celebrate Christmas, so I say Merry Christmas.

If I tell you "Merry Christmas", but you're Jewish, I'd like you to reply "Happy Hanukkah". That doesn't offend me, because that's what you're celebrating. If you say "Happy Kwanzaa" that's fine too, even "Happy Saturnalia" or "Happy Holidays" if that floats your boat. You doing you takes nothing away from me doing me, and it's bigotry to think otherwise.

So if you celebrate Christmas, post pictures of Santa and reindeer! If you celebrate Hanukkah, post pictures of your menorah or what have you! If you just treat it as an ordinary snowy holiday (or summer holiday for those southern hemisphere folks) then just share pictures of what you enjoy!

But seriously, post what makes you happy this time of year! (Unless it goes against the forum's rules of course xD)

This man has stated the truth. I fully endorse this message.

I don't celebrate Christmas, but have no reason to be offended by it. One thing I will say is, I don't like to receive gifts. If its something cheap/sentimental to me (photo album with pictures, sketchbook,etc...) I'm more than happy to receive. I cringe at the thought of someone spending their hard earned money on buying me an expensive gift. I like the food and the gathering(most of the time...some of the time...once,lol..), but not the gift giving/receiving part.
