So someone told me my concept of "Rules of society" was stupid and i disagree but whatever i want to see if others agree.

So i feel there are certain "Rules" to society in which its legal to do some things but its generally not advised as you will be shamed or ridiculed.

the one in argument was that a man wearing a dress or something Society in general says this is a no no and they get shamed.

Curious as to what people think i mean i wouldn't do it myself but i have seen some people who do and they get ridiculed and bullied and shamed.

I see it as a "Rule" of sorts that that kind of thing is not ok and if anyone goes against it they can shame someone for it.

Opinions ?

I think it's not as much rules as it is norms. People like to ridicule those who do things they don't think are exactly 'normal' or generally accepted.

Yes. They were annoying. If I could break them I would but as with breaking all rules there are consequences. You have to be very brave or very stupid to break them. I'm a coward it seems to breaking them wasn't in me. I had friends and I didn't want to trouble them.

Now I'm in university you can get away with breaking more of them though.

Its societal norms. Depending on where you live their could be cultural differences, but then there are universal norms. Notice how no one faces towards the back when on a elevator? That's a societal norm.

If there's a mirror I do, you know, check myself out for a few seconds before continuing on with my day.

There are various unwritten rules and norms within society that help to keep it flowing smoothly. For example, it is not illegal to walk into an old folks home dressed as death however; to do so would be deeply frowned upon.

It also has the added benefit of saving time for law makers who don’t have to constantly create new laws for minute or petty things.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I don't give a shit what people think.
Have people try to shame? Yes they had. Does it affect me? No it doesn't. I have people call me names and things like that. You know what I did?
Zeros fuck giving. I continue to walk and do has I please.
Have people try to bully me? Yes they had. Guess how it ends? Me kicking their ass.

In short make fun of me all you want but I will no spare you any thou.
