You mustn't break bro-code... Also there's probably a good reason why they're an Ex to begin with

Sometimes people break up with mutual understanding that it wasn't working out.

Just because they broke up doesn't mean they are at fault .....hey what if the friend was at fault.

but fuck the "Bro code"

I don't see a problem with it. Said person is no longer their issue now so who cares. None of their concern at that point.

Did that . . .
ONCE . . .
That was enough.....

Besides, I never liked most of my friend's "EXs" to begin with...

Yah, if I had honest feelings for the girl and it felt like they were being returned. If something like that ruined my friends relationship with me then it'd be apparent at that time that I was the only one who thought of it on terms of being a best or close friend.

Hmmm. This is basically asking if I would date myself.

I think I could pull it off. So yes.

In the circumstance my best friend wasn't my lover--well it depends. Did she cheat on him? How long were they together? How soon am I considering this after their break up? Why did they break up?

Bros before hoes. If my best friend is alright with it, then I'd proceed. Better to be honest.

If you are that crappy of a friend then by all means go ahead.

But no, I even try to avoid conversations with my friends girlfriends. However.......the girlfriends friends are not off limits XD

Would I date my best/close friend's ex? I'll date anyone I want regardless of who they last dated. However, in general I'd avoid my friend's ex's because most of my friends date men I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. They can have 'em.

I really don't understand this bro code obsession. It's borderline-cultism.

I mean, just talk things out like the adults you are, mean what you say, don't wear a mask, and treat human beings like human beings. They aren't your bros, they're just your friends. You should give priority to your better friends and help them when they need help. And they aren't bitches unless they screw you over continuously, and then you don't have a reason to associate with them at all.

Bro code might work to simplify things and allow you to be a better friend when you're 17, but I wouldn't even utter the phrase in public, let alone live by it.

In the past I would had said no. Now after meeting one friend I realize I should had ask her out when I had the chance. Even if we had broken up we will still be good friends.

Been there done that.

"Bro Code Article 150: No Sex with your Bro's Ex.

Amendment 1: A Bro is entitled to have sex with his Bro's ex if she initiates it, she is really hot, or his Bro is out of town or in a different room."
