Myself;Yourself is a drama/romance anime that aired last year.It is quite short, with only 13 episodes.

MY started off with the return of Sana to Sakuranomori after years. His return then sparked off the turn of events in the show.

Let me get this straight;the first few episodes are rather boring. It didn't show much,it focus mainly on him and Nanaka, his childhood friend. It is rather relaxing, and the series begin to take a darker tone towards the end. There is something shocking about Asami, the presumed romantic love interest of Sana which in my opinion, kind of ridiculous.I have nothing against lesbians, but i dont see the need for that in this show.If they want to "surprise" us,they can always do something else.I honestly find the whole thing laughable, including the reason for Asami's action.

The ending is rather rushed,i was hoping that they would shed more light into what happened after 10 years. The ending is rather anticlimatic as well. After the twins left, they completely vanished from the show. And we only see their backs after 10 years.

Aoi's voice is really.............funny and weird. It was like,i dont know, the sound of scratching the black board? It's so high pitch, and unsuitable for her age.

Overall,Myself;Yourself is definitely not the best one out there. But you may want to watch it if you have nothing better to do;it's only 13 episodes anyway. You can finish it within a day

You know,Myself:Yourself was pretty popular last year.Personally,I thought that EF could give it a run for it's money..It was pretty average, though a few things did shock me a little, like Asami..I agree..the ending IS rushed. The story just builds along the tension and suspense along the way and then resolve everything in the space of a few episodes..not a really good idea. And I thought that it lacked character development, especially on Aoi's part..her voice is just too pitchy.

I found that this anime was very easy to watch. It was very enjoyable and alot of the begining episodes are funny and sweet but still foreshodow things to come. I found the ending to resolve everything that I felt needed to be resolved. I do think the anime could have been longer to get more depth on a couple of issues but I felt the anime was good overall. The artistic style was good and the music wasnt bad but could have been better.

I just finished this series.

Though everything is still somewhat sinking in, I really enjoyed this anime.

It might just be my taste for drama/romance, but I felt like they did a good job in reaching out with quite a bit of gripping drama, and story arcs. For instance, the letter filled "secrete mail box" with the letter on top "Help Me!" written in red, seemingly smeared, blood. There were times where I was thinking ahead, trying to embrace myself for a terrible tragedy, though more often than not I was nearly spot on, I can't say that this was exactly predictable plot.

Say what you want about some of the "controversial" subjects, but you can't exactly relate to a different culture if you expect them to look down upon say the "emo" culture, or same gender relationships. Though they are somewhat taboo subjects nonetheless, if you are spending more time pondering about those details, then you are overlooking what the plot had intended.

Though I felt there was quite a bit of relate-able moments/personalities. Though I doubt everyone goes through a lot of the same ordeals, everyone of the characters(save from Aoi) have family troubles. Like big time. I know people who have lost parents, friends, family... But pulling away from personal details, they strike a key note on the matter with those who can relate. Then I guess I enjoyed the plot more so than others solely on a personal level.

The one point that stood out for me was the ability to set the drama, and tension with the last few episodes. Brining everything to a climax, then drawing a moot-point on the second to last episodes, then brining out the tension once again, and to settle on a emotional ending, that tied up the loose end from the beginning. Really good plot device use, though some look down upon the emotional stirring, I look up to it, because you aren't going to encounter the same kind of emotional inspiration from an everyday person.

(and for those who look upon me as emo, say what you want to say about me, just remember: Different culture, different world...)

To much drama for me... I mean theres no way that so may bad things could befall such a small tight knit group of people in that span of time. I wouldnt have minded it if all that drama especially that lesbian thing at the end lead anywhere. I think we were all prepared for some school days like mass killing, and its just this 10 years later crap which to me is saying blatantly "im to lazy to actually explain anything explain it yourself".

Also Aoi's voice was annoying as fuck. They probably had some voice actor back out at the last minute saying "i dont want to play such a pointless and utterly useless character" and threw in some guy they picked up off the street and told him to try and sound like a ditzy girl.

Oh another useless character was that little girl who liked the twin. After he rejected her, it was like ok well were done with her now it doesnt matter what happens to her after shes done absoloubtly nothing in this series.

Though saying all that i did watch it all the way through... I didnt have any problems with the art. Thought Nanaka was hot...

I like how it has finished but the last episode finished too fast. I mean in last 5 minutes we could saw them as adults and that was too soon for me. This anime should have more episodes.
