True.

I moved a lot when I was growing up, I don't know anyone I knew in High School, and I get busy so it's been difficult to maintain friendships. Before you know it distance grows as you get busy and spend less time communicating.

disagree.
everything gonna end one day,no matter how good the friendship was.
no matter how good a song is,it will still end.

Yes but it will end because of death.
An ending is nothing but a new beginning for something else.

I've been through three cycles of close friends. The first ones were because I moved out of the school chain for my area. Second one for the same reason. Third cycle has been ongoing, and I still meet and hang with the guys and girls that I met in 9th grade. Of course we can't hang around as much since a few of them work and most of them have college, but we still communicate often.

Everyone switches friends about every 7 years, or rather that's what's normal. However there are many cases where you stay friends for life xD

I'd like to think so. I've had to let go of some really close friendships due to moving away and going our separate ways, growing up. Made some new ones in the workforce, often because you're always around each other long enough to engage in and get to know. I do get reminded of old friends every once in awhile. Sadly, as the years go by, you forget them little by little. They were astonishing friends, good people, and at the time; were forever. Then the inevitable happens, you never know what the future has in store for your relationships.

In a way, the great ones had a hand in shaping you out to be the person you are now. So I suppose, even after they're gone, they stay with you for a lifetime.

If it's hard work to be friends with some of your friends, those can go, that way you can give more time to the ones that are there for your lifetime.

no ,its not because of death,it will almost certainly end before the subject's die,
most of the time is because of the subject's got married, having kids.
work + family time + own hobby time, there is little left for socializing with other subject's.
less conversation, uninteresting topic after marriage .
the one that manage to hold their friendship until either 1 die is either
a.only work about 5-7 hour a day, with two day off in a week
b.they meet their friend after they pensioned/stop working, etc
c.the subject never married,no kids,no parents to look after

those are just my opinion.
i dont consider other subject as my friend if i only have about 3.5 hour a week conversation/activity.minimun is 10hour+- per week.
sorry for the subpar english.
