I happened across this today. It looks like millennials have it worse than I thought. You can't live on 19K a year, which is what the average millennial in my state earns according to this source.

No wonder they all want to stay in their parents basement and hope for a communist revolt.

Weren't you the one going on about how the pay-increase for certain low income workers was a bad thing? and yet you post something like this?

Howe and Strauss define the Millennial cohort as consisting of individuals born between 1982 and 2004.

I had no idea I was so close to being a Millennial. Just a few years off.

You need only look at a different article then. I've seen the beginning years as early as 1980 and as late as well into the 90's. I'd say if you became an adult around 2,000 you are probably one. Not that it's particularly useful for anything but click bait articles.

Still a bit off for me, but I did graduate college in 2K, so I guess that counts as becoming an adult, since that's also when I took my first professional full time job.

I have a few friends who work 60+ hours just to make ends meet.

This is called being told to get a 4-year degree without having experience or common sense to back it up.

I'm sure average income will go up as the generation ages. Right now most millennials are still in school. And you can live on 19k/year in some parts of the country. It's not much fun but trust me it can be done.
