My brother recently got into a hit and run and he left the scene of the crime. He was the one that left.
He told my family that and they pretty much wanted to keep it a secret, if they did that then I would be the one getting the blame, since they didn't see his face, only the car and license plate.
They pretty much wanted to use me so I would be the one that get's in trouble not my brother.
Thanks fam

It sucks to not be taken seriously. Sometimes life doesn't give you second chances and so it's better to be overprotective and not take many risks. If you're really hurt and feel like your feelings are being ignored, then try talking to them calmly about it.

I feel you on this. My parents basically didn't know how to be parents when I was a kid.
I remember my dad once saying: "I don't understand you, and frankly I don't have to, and don't care to."
My mother always was a selfish women; she didn't care about me, just about "her son". If I did things she didn't like, she'd say: "My son doesn't do those things." Practically said I wasn't her son or something.
They housed me and fed me though, so I guess they weren't so bad.

I don't wish I could like them, I wish they were more likeable.

My parents and I are on good terms. Occasionally, we get into arguments, but I believe that's normal for people.

One of my friends is not so lucky though. Basically, her mom treats her in a way that indicates that nothing she does will ever be good enough. For example, my friend had a 4.0 all through high school and was named Valedictorian. She participated in orchestra, sports, and volunteered. Even then, her mom complained that she wasn't 1st chair in orchestra, that she wasn't captain of her softball team, and that she didn't spend nearly enough time volunteering.

At this point, my friend has basically stopped trying to please her mother and has accepted the fact that she will never be good enough in her eyes.

Have him locked up and get him to pay for any damages.

Haha! My mother is dead and my dad left us for the skirt of some psycho Canadian redhead. Not gonna lie, she was pretty hot as is her daughter(youngest sister) but still...

I don't have parents so I don't have parental issues! Yay me!

Hmm, I had a stepfather who was pretty much the epitome of a complete jackass.

My mom's pretty bad ass though and my biological father is pretty chill; unfortunately, I just haven't really gotten the notion to get to know him better.

well, my mom left me in a different state when i was 12 after having been abandoned in various other places for 11 years prior . she didn't care to hear if i liked her or not. she just didn't give a fuck about me or if i lived or died she only saw me as a burden that she would offload onto someone else anytime the opportunity presented itself to her. and i dont know my father because he thinks i was not actually his because my mom was cheating on him around the time she had me (i look just like my father or the pictures ive seen of him ) so i think you should look at the fact that you have parents who are still letting you live with them at the age of 21 and be at least remotely grateful of that fact. maybe you have such a bad relationship with them because you are not appreciative of what they have done for you.

Probably your parents were having a great time till you came to this world. Probably you were a mistake.

My parents are cool, down to earth people. Not once in my life can I recall a time where I disliked them or found them annoying.

sounds like hans and grete fairy tale, but sadly some mother become like that. (sometimes its getting worse after birth and if she was more on the sexaul body wise I guess she choose herself before others?)

(i look just like my father or the pictures ive seen of him )

? to this \/ or was that nothing with you to do (sounded like there was maybe someone letting you stay with them or not one of your parents?)
or is it more like never really known him (did he leave you?)
