Really digging this band in my hometown lately.

Here's a vid of their lead singer.

What do you guys think about his voice? <333

Yeah dude, I loved it.

This is a friend of mine who's on touring Australia right now for her debut release. Check out Greta Stanley!

Cleveland's music scene has been thriving over the last few years.

Herzog, Shitbox Jimmy, Shale Satans, Queen of Hell, Hiram-Maxim... there's a lot here.

The people who make music around my area are ghetto highschoolers who think they can rap and have terrible lyrics.

HECK YEAH BOISE DOES LET ME TELL YOU

Toy Zoo is my favorite. They're a post punk/new wave band. Their live shows are incredible and their lead singer is A+++++.

A few of my friends are in a band called Ancient Psychic, formerly Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant (name that obscure pop culture reference!). Really, really great and pretty psychadelic pop/surf rock/doom punk/whatever. How Do U Wake Up is very much a hit single.

The Dirty Moogs are silly and fantastic electro pop.

Hollow Wood. They're our Hometown Heroes. They've been through some pretty frequent lineup changes, but they've kept the trio they have now together for years and they're making brilliant, tearjerkingly beautiful folk rock. You can find them on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify. Look at them playing on Audiotree and get ready to cry.

And I guess Youth Lagoon because why not brag about it?

Really digging it! She has a nice voice! Very cute style with stripped back instrumentation. Kinda almost seems like something Marcelinne would write

Love the singer! This band is really good! Very vibey! Has like Rage Against the machine feel to the guitar tones and a really trippy soundscape overall. Definitely enjoyed.

DUDE. I liked all of that. Especially hollow wood. So cool that they were on audio tree! Big fan of that channel!

My last band kicked up some dust over here in west Michigan a few years back. We recorded a dope ass album but broke up shortly after because of drugs, kids & personal issues. But I played lead guitar & backing vocals & wrote about 70% of the music. I'd suggest listening to the last song first, "Asleep in the Actress", and then "Our Daily Bread" if anyone plans on checking it out. Or just start from track one & play it through. "Give Them Guns" / "Accident!" is great too. I wrote 100% of the music for those two (I think of them as one song though), as well as for "Asleep in the Actress" & "Our Daily Bread". The rest of the songs Doug & I wrote together while he wrote all the lyrics. But yeah, feel free to rock it out. Aloha!

I also make some remixes & mash-ups, like my Cab Calloway v. Baths amalgamation.

And my remix of a track from the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind soundtrack, originally composed by Jon Brion.

I also make metal music. I'd call it extreme progressive metal. There's no vocals, it's just a demo I recorded on my 8-track, and the mp3s were taken from a cassette tape transfer, so it sounds rough as hell. But it adds a little atmosphere I guess hah

Living in Newfoundland means that I have a thriving local music scene to listen to. It's all local stuff, which if I were to guess probably doesn't sound to great for outsiders unless they are into Irish music.

Heres a pretty funny song I like to listen to when friends are over: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNkzbH0sYNQ

Pretty much everyone around here at least knows someone who can sing and play an instrument. There is also plenty of local bands that play at festivals and talent shows throughout the year.

Here is a personal favorite of mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbR8uOQsEV0
