They're americans, they're always quick to jump the gun, just look at 9/11.

Ach ja, niet dat je wat anders van ze ken verwachten

The US has been dealing with these sorts of numbers of immigrants for decades and Europe bashed us for having poor race relations.

Ain't so fun now that the shoe's on the other foot, eh Europe?

To reply to this in English, we too have a tendency to quickly jump the gun on news coverage from over there.
So I can't really blame them.

Realistically, things aren't as bad as the media wants us to believe.

Here's a full mainstream-media article.

Remember when protests were about corruption or equal rights? This is some serious new world shit right here.

Then maybe you should shut up while you're still ahead?

Been to Europe several times. I read British and Spanish (El País, to be exact) news daily. Please, tell me more about European views regarding immigration.

Americans didn't overreact with 9/11; Thousands of people lost their lives that day. Just because you don't remember the attack doesn't mean it wasn't serious.

In all fairness, I think SK is older than a millennial. Much older.

I remember hearing stories about a BBC reporter losing their shit when he saw some daisy cutters go off. "The yanks have lost their minds and are nuking them"

Pretty much this, I've been living in Italy for the past 2 weeks and this is the first I heard of Europe "burning". I have seen lots of things on immigration tho, it's seems like there's a lot of refugees that want a better life, but also ones who are still stealing and just being an issue overall.

Most of those people are probably not even from Geldermalsen. The same things happened a while back during a number of similar meetings in other towns. A whole bunch of those neo nazi racist assholes have been showing up at these things, looking to stir things up for a while now.

Ok, i agree that the 9/11 comment i made was out of line, my bad
I was just a bit annoyed at the fact that a bunch of Americans we're talking about this riot as if the people who started it represent the people of Geldermalsen or even the entire Netherlands as a whole So yes, i might have jumped the gun with my 9/11 comment (oh the irony)
