I always wonder how old the chicken shits that don't put an age in Avatar. When I get older I want to be like Master Bang in OPM

That's the thing. We all have our tastes and I would never dog on anyone for their choices or call someone a name or label them based on their anime preferences. If you like something I don't, we just won't talk about it. Easy as that.

Kind of like in another thread where I do talk about my distaste for the Persona series. I call IT names, but never a fan of it. Or like with OPM and my completely nonchalant attitude towards it. We all like what we like.

I agree with you. I do hope you didn't think I was making a judgement call against you. And while I can enjoy debating a series; I'd never hold it personally if somebody had a different idea than me about a show. Nor do I overrate my opinion. In fact I think my opinion has less weight then everybody else's. :D.

*chuckles*

I might not be in the top tier, but I'm pretty weathered for an anime fan.

I'm talking about a fan that watches at least modern anime. And is old. Not those Hayao Miyazaki watching Astro Boy Lovers, but those that like Non Non Biyori.

I don't suppose being almost 23 and from the 90's era of Anime would count, would it?

I'm sure 60, 70, and 80s Anime fans would love to have a word with me, lol. "You see, back in my day." I'm gonna be saying that in about 30 years!

Well, you do have me beaten, I'll admit that.
And although there's little currently worth watching, knowing about Hestia's string from IIWTPUGIAD does qualify me as "watching current anime". Life's too short, however, for watching more than one episode of Non Non Biyori, and more for some than for others.

(And apparently being one of the immortal Highlanders, I'm old enough to remember when it was all VHS's copied off of imported laserdisc and taped off of afternoon TV, without dubs or subtitles--And if you couldn't find an Animag magazine with a decent synopsis, or didn't have one of those encyclopedic Berkeley Anime Guides from the cons, which compiled scripts and synopses of all the classics in a big 200-pp. book, you struggled through your anime the HARD way.
Although that was part of the fun, since when the TV tapes left in the goofy commercials, it made it seem like you were watching secret broadcasts from Mars.)

Basically, if they still carry a torch for Urusei Yatsura, Lum, and the Dirty Pair, still treat Akira, Vampire Hunter D and Bubblegum Crisis as "classics", claimed to have watched the subbed Sailor Moon before Viz brought it back, or fly into rages at the very mention of Twilight of the Cockroaches, you know you're listening to a 90's original-generation geezer.

I'm apparently not that old having just turned 44, but I still have the original AnimEigo VHS tapes of the Urisei Yatsura films and Bubblegum Crisis which is still one of my favorite ever series.

But I still like new stuff too, including Non Non Byori. I am watching about 14 shows in the current season - my current favorite for this season is Beautiful Bones - Sakurakos Investigation
