No you are not Crunchy Roll pays for the titles. Stop whining and get your own country more involved in picking up license for Crunchy Roll.

Even though I can read English easily, I prefer Spanish if there's that option.
I hope CR can get the license of all of those titles in different languages, so more people can enjoy them.

Just checked Digimon Tri's locations...

I think they went for everywhere EXCEPT the UK and Europe.

because Digimon is a very large and well known franchise, it's quite possible someone else owns the rights to Digimon distribution in the UK and just hasn't acted on this

Proably because Toei Animation Europe seem to have an addiction to TV broadcasts and really don't give a crap about streaming. Hell, they don't even care about home releases until they've had a broadcast deal first, or a long-suffering home licensor manages to somehow convince them it's just not going to happen for that country.

The only mention of Digimon Tri having "European" availability on their official website is a mention about a German pay-TV channel having the rights.

Still, it puts CR in the unfortunate position of giving us over here an unintentional kick in the teeth. That they almost definitely don't want to give, I'd guess.
"After all the America-only announcements, we now have a show available everywhere. Well, except for you guys."
Probably not a message CR want to be putting out. Sadly, it's one they're contractually obliged to do.

Still, it just goes to show that the biggest hurdle that legal anime sites have in the Japanese licensors. Crunchyroll, Funimation, Daisuki and the like can go on about "watch here here, legally" or "don't use VPNs" all they want, but if the Japanese licensor wants to freeze out certain regions then that region will find a way to watch the shows if they really, really want to.

To be frank, it's available in half of Europe. But the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, France, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Greece are excluded if I'm correct. I'm happy for those who can watch it now, but you and I got excluded yet again...

Honestly, I really dislike the idea of watching content through a VPN. Why should some of us need to "change our nationality/location" in order to watch something. It's utterly ridiculous in my opinion.

I expect Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Spain and a few others will be upset to discover you've declared they aren't part of Europe.

No we definitely are paying for it - the international sub is EXACTLY the same price allowing for currency conversion but without all the content. WE are not in a position to get "our countries" to "pick up" anything because that is Crunchyroll's job as the distributor in this case - and they simply don't do it. I am aware that may be down to cost, or slowness of the production companies or the Japan distributors and rights holders but that doesn't change the fact that Rest Of World are paying for your pleasure.

Don't patronise us - it's beyond insulting. A simple "thank you" would be more appropriate and honest.

Thank you for giving Tri to us! I actually put Digimon in the survey a while back. Hopefully we get all the series too at some point.

Feels like you might as well of said hey Digimon fans in the UK **** you as it feels like a massive FU. It's like they want people to pirate it >_<.

We also have 3/4 seasons of Familiar of Zero on DVD but the fourth one isn't anywhere in sight.

The UK keeps getting the big FU from multiple sources.
