I have been an organ donor ever since I was 16. How about you? BTW, I'm talking about the type of organ donor where if you're about to die and there's a really low chance of saving you then they'll just let you pass away and give your organs to someone in need.

yup, no need to be stingy with them.

However I intend to hang onto them for as long as I can.

In a heartbeat, I never really understood why people wanted to be buried or cremated. Why not just help someone in need instead?

I'm not sure about what the laws are where you live, however they will not try to save you any less than they would a non-organ donor. In fact, it's better for the organ to also "hold on" as long as it can in a live host before putting it into storage.

But, yes. I am a donor. It's nothing special.

Fact: If you are sick or injured and admitted to the hospital, the number one priority is to save your life. Organ donation can only be considered after brain death has been declared by a physician. Many states have adopted legislation allowing individuals to legally designate their wish to be a donor should brain death occur, although in many states Organ Procurement Organizations also require consent from the donor's family.

No! My organs! I fancy living so I'll take that small chance of survival and fight for it with all the strength I can muster. It's a dick move and I'm sorry about it but I have never been able to fight my self preservation instinct... it always wins no matter the circumstance or how hard I try

What if I was and the person I ended up giving them to would be someone I wouldn't get along with? I wouldn't want to take that chance.

I donate blood and I am signing up to be a bone marrow donor and I will sign up to be a organ donor in the case that something happens to me because the kindest act to do for someone in my opinion is to give a part of yourself and if any of my family members was to need an organ I would be the first to step up.

Of course what kind of monster isn't . Once I am dead I have use for anything my body currently possesses. And my organs can save a lot of lives. I have always been about helping people to the best of my abilites.

And if you answer no to this question and you're over 18 I hope you rot in hell when you die.

Yes, no reason to keep something in death that can help another in life.
